Spellhowler is best if you want to solo, highest damage, best mana skills.
I love my spellsinger sub but I wouldn't do it without at least one SE for empower and recharges. Very fast cast speed, lower damage, only one regen skill that won't help you much.
Sorc somewhat in between on damage, better regen skills than a sps but worse than a SH.
Qais pretty much summed it up for you.. I would add that the spellsinger mana management sucks unless you have an SE for recharges..
And there's also the necros, they hit hard, get good summons, are the kings of pvp, mana management is good, but they're an expensive class bc you need cursed bones to cast their main spell. Should be a problem until the mid-high 50s, then you'll make enough money from mobs to break even (and even make a little profit)..
Once I get my Knight and Arty to 40, I will make a nuker. Which class has the best and why? Thanks in advance.
Necro is considered the overpower class & FOTM for C4.
No matter what nuker you pick, as long as they have sleep, it will be nerfed come C5.
I personally love the SH, (level 1-39 Dark Wizard) They kill fast, they run fast & they might not have fast casting spd, but you can buy pots or have someone buff you with acumen to increase that. They also have a skill called BTM, it sacrifices your HP, & adds to your MP. It will help your slow down sitting time to be a lot less then normal. :)
spell singer...is the fast leveling char I have ever played.
But, I have to agree with tiffy, right now the necro is best mage out there. They can do damage and have all the curse stuff, too. If I had to reroll.....nah
I'm agree with ellie here. if you want a fast lvling nukerand lest costly.
other wise you can go with Necro for PvP.
Scor is good if you plan to only deal with fire weak mobs. but they only got 1 atk skill and tthey never reach a point where you can 2 shot mobs....it's always nuke/nuke/aura flair.
and has poor MP management.
Sps is the lest MP management of all four of them, if you're going to play one of them you need a SE and a PP.

QFT....my main is a Spellsinger, and leveling without a SE Was awful until at LEAST B-Grade, if not longer. They ARE, however, very strong PvP players if you can stick with them. I would either go SH or SpS. I've seen good necros and sorcs, but for pure nuker, I say SpS and SH are generally stronger, since they each have a defining attribute ( Damage for SH and speed for SpS), on top of having an over-hit nuke, whereas the Sorc only really uses Prom. If it's going to be an alt, and you don't want to sink a lot of cash and time into it, SH is the way to go. They're easy to train due to good MP management, and hit hard, even with less-than-perfect gear.
Good Luck, and remember, it's not about what's strongest, or what people suggest, but what is fun for YOU. If the character bores you, it won't matter how good it is.
I am a Spellsinger and I will say they are pretty fun, if you like light elves that is...lol. BUT like others have said our MP management is crap. I actually think if we didn't have empower or recharge we would level slower than a tank. Also SpS aren't really wanted very much in groups unless for crowd control (in C5 they won't want us for that either). Raids we are definately not as helpful as the SH.
I actually kinda wish I was an SH sometimes, lol. They have strong nukes and great mana management. With the Acumen weapons and Armors their cast speed is pretty good.
The best thing for SpS is PvP. The best for the SH is PvE. The Sorc is in between so is good in PvE but not the best, and is good in PvP but not the best.
