We were on our lowbie alts the other day and were out doing raidbosses. We came to one outside of Gludin and there was already another group starting to form. But... we got all our guys there first, so we started in on the raid boss... so of course the other group was a little "miffed." What ended up happening was some pretty fun pvp ... as we all did our best to get the raid boss killed and stop the other guy. The other group went and got their "mains" -- in B grade -- and came to defend their honor :) In the end, after the really fun pvp, we managed to keep the aggro on the RB and we successfully killed it.
All of this is part of the game, and makes sense to me. What doesn't make sense to me is how come our guy that was one level too high was silenced (according to the rules of the game) but the other guy's EE in BW was allowed to heal the Raid Boss and not get silenced? This doesn't track in my mind. If you are too high for RB, your magic should be silenced period, whether you are attacking the raid boss or trying to keep it alive.
There's been times where I've healed or recharges at a raid boss I was too high level for but I didn't get silenced until I got too close to it, or after 2-3 heals or rezzes.
Yeah, yeah, we could do that. Being 30 levels higher than us, lol, prolly wouldn't stop her... it was fun trying tho :P
But that's not the question. How come she is not silenced like the attackers are that are too high to participate? Why is she allowed to participate????
Yep, that's right. A guy once stole my room to pole-arm and level up his 2 box. When the mobs respawned, I buffed them all without aggroing them, and stepped back to watch the fun.
Wonder if anyone's ever given a raid boss vr or the regen buff.
wouldn't work as well as u think as 95% of antharas's attacks are all specials and the one that isn't is a signel target low dmg attack. and as VR doesn't help on specials...
I once killed a bot raid group. They were going after the Tiger King by Anghel Waterfall. They were using mages, primarily sorcs, with one tank doing the run/aggression routine. So I buffed the RB with haste2, ww2, magic barrier 2, and resist fire 3. Sat back and watched them get wiped out LMAO.

raid boss farmers are set up so that they can fairly easily kill a raid boss
throwing those buffs on one absolutely annihilates them

Depends on the exact type of farmers. The ones going after the high lvl bosses will simply drop you in half a second if you even get close to the boss and look like to want to % heal/buff it. And they usually are powerful enough to even take down a buffed boss if it is not one of the ultra highest level or epic ones.

i would highly advise against buffing a raid boss next to 20 cdling nukers :P
and yeah they can kill some raids even when they are fully buffed but certain bosses are hard enough to take down with full zergs let alone 1 party
