I do my last profession change quest (Judgment of war spirit) and it has a part that requries you to go to ant nest. The NPC (Salien) told me to kill some "soldier ants". I went there, killed some ant soldiers but nothing. Is this the right mob? On some guides I find I need to kill Gray ants but these are around Cruma Wasteland and lower level. It doesn't seem right. Any help will be apprciated.

i had no problems completing the quest using the npcs and mob names given in the guide
"2. Visit Seer Racoy in Gludio Castle Town. When you talk to Racoy he will send you off to talk to Priest Viviante (same town). When you talk to Viviante, she will tell you to go meet Trader Salient who is at the southern entrance to Wasteland [you can use the gatekeeper to go from Gludio to Gludin and then to the southern entrance]. Salient will give you an insect book and tell you to go to the Ant Nest and collect 5 pieces of remains by killing Male/Gray Ants. This part is difficult to do alone, so do this part of the quest in a party. After you collect them all, return to Racoy who will give you the second of the remains.
I have seen this guide, but that is exactly my problem. Male ants can't be found anywhere. Gray ants are in Cruma swamp, not in wasteland. In addition, they are lvl 26. They could not be required by a profession cahnge quest at 39 lvl.
the mobs you need will be in ant nest, but they dont have to be soldier ants. i think any big red ant in the ant nest will do. captains, guards, patrols, you get the idea.
I've not done this quest but have been in the ants nest, although quite easy to kill they all aggro once one is attacked and there's swarms of them so if you can get someone to come along and help (to stop them being annoying not because you can't kill them yourself) I would, there is a possibility of being over run by them and it will also make the quest much quicker for you.

How did you do this quest without going to ant's nest? What mob did you kill? And where?
Ok, I was not careful enough. Trader Salient gave me a book. If i click on it, it says that the mobs I need to kill are noble ants. Thx anyway for all the answers.
