Hi All! Well I have returned to play Lineage 2 again after cooling off from dealing with too many bot farmers 2 years ago ... lol Anyways, one of my characters which is the highest level of 28 now which is a mage, which is red from killing bot farmers. Now I have 30 million adeana saved and it is with my dwarf level 8. Now I could by stuff again for my mage with it,which has nothing but the shirt on his back and a Karma of about 9000 which seems like will take for ever to go back to a normal character. And if I buy stuff and die stuff will drop and I will lose again what I bought. What would you folks do start over? I don't really like that idea because of all the spells I bought when I was about level 36 before I turned RED. Any suggestions?
Also, my memory fails me because its been 2 years since playing. With reagrds to D grade stuff, can I use it? I think so, not sure. But do I have to be a certain level if I buy D grade wepaonsand clothes?

You can use any grade gear at any level however there are severe penalties.
NG = 1+
D = 20+
C = 40+
B = 52+
A = 61+
S = 76+
Thanks but educate me here when you say "severe penalties" Explain your chart please. Thanks its been 2 years, I'm rusty. :)
The chart shows the level you can use each grade without penalty.
Penalties (if memory serves) are armor/jewelry: reduced movement speed and weapons: reduced accuracy, Special Abilities do not work. I'm sure there are others I've missed. I never cared for using out of grade gear.
I understand your fustration with the farmers. Here is what I did.....me and my online buddies...created chars just for farmer hunting. But don't turn red with your main and your good gear. It is just not worth it.
If I was you, I would just get a cheap weapon...then find a remote place....maybe croc island or wasteland. Croc island cause not too many people there, and wasteland, cause the people that are there usually lower levels.
After the red is gone, go back to a good weapon and think about doing the sin eater quest while your level is low enough that it does take for ever to level.
Yea with a Karma of over 9000 its seems like it takes forever to lower. I did the "run at guards at gates in town" but thats taking awhile also and my level keeps dropping which sucks.
anyway...i suggest dropping your current mage right now...and making a new character (don't delete that one though, use him for pking people)...and if you wanted to wait the 2 weeks...start out complety fresh on Franz
make a new toon--level him to 20 (take a couple days), run him out into nowhere--log on your 'red'...run him to same place, drop your gear on 'red' toon. Relog on your new 20 toon and pick the stuff up.
Keep the red toon with a cheap weapon for pking.
Tada.
Just take some gear to floran and use the warehouse, as a red thats the only warehouse you can use. You're free to buy healing pots and stuff from paco the friendly grocer.
My PW worked off 26k karma that way, only needed to level up once and burned most of it off running into the mobs and letting myself die. 9K karma is nothing for your mage, you can 2-shot most mobs around floran, burn it off in a few hours.
Thanks for the tips guys and gals. I'm using my level 9 dwarf to buy stuff for my mage and do the drop outside and login and logout to do the switch. I may start an elf wiz, like their look , my red mage is human. I guess the whole reason I'm try to keep the red one is all the spells I have when I use to be level 36 and I also have a level 36 kat the kat. But I like the idea of keep a red one to pk [censored]'s but I want to try and stay away from the "red" politics of things.
