With this new server coming out maybe Gms could step it up a notch to prevent what happened with Teon. Maybe give us one server where we do not have a minority of players being legit.
People have done plenty if they have reported them. Asking people not to ebay doesn't work. Training them only slows them for the small amount of time you do it. Reporting the bots would work if NCSoft started to enforce its own EULA to the letter.

They can try but with they can only fully investigate so many accounts before they run out of man power. Also the problems in the other servers will persist.
One week after Franz comes out look and see how many people are lvl 50+ with top gear and remember thier names and who they party with,. Just for reference.
It will be the same as Teon don't get your hopes up for a new legit server there is no such thing once they turn on the power switch.
Its never pointless to make an effort. I'd much rather make the effort and fail, than do nothing and whine. (Thats not directed toward anyone, just a general statement)
Yes it would probably be fun for the first couple weeks like TEON was. But eventually once enough Adena gets into the market it's all over. Plus everything will be insanley expensive for the first couple of months.
Maybe NCSoft should try to give the GM's more free hands to do whatever is needed.
Maybe NCSoft should test a new EULA, where it is clearly stated that the GM's are all powerfull and can ban whoever they will without responsability for the damage it might cause.
Then hire ONE, yes ONE GM to run around in all the cities and common B.O.T.S areas and throw bans in a mass scale.
I think all of you guys here on the board with ease could ban severel 100 accounts a day just by running around and watching gameplay-patterns.
The problem to day is that NCsoft and thus the GM is restricted to only bann accounts where they can prove something is wrong. And I for one think this rule makes the workload way to complex just to ban someone who everyone can tell is breaking EULA.
A few weeks back I tried to see how many "Clearly bannable players" I could count in an hour, and it was A LOT :(
All I did was go through all the starter towns with hig level char and then all arount the common B.O.T.S areas like cats, necros and such.
I tell you I counted bannable chars in the hundred and that was JUST in one hour of looking.
If you then also check eg. Giran for all the auto shouts, try PM some of the guys and the see who is not responding within 1/2 hour + if you see a shop sit/stand/sit and you then PM the shop and you get no answer.... well then you can bann even more.
Or the esiest way to check auto-shops... count the numbers of chars in the shout out and how frequent the shout is done.
there is NO WAY an normal player can shout "WTS soul bow, BSS, BSPS, lvl6 crystal, DC robe, DC Helmet and Wind strider" 5 times in a row in one second... and then even typing it in the exact same sentence every time.
And we all know how few text-char the macro system is limited to.
So basicly change the EULA and give the power back to the rightfull owners... the GM's :)

I still remember the first day of Teon - I started a new character there just to see what it was like, not to actually start a new main. Let's say I have never seen so many people with names like "xsddfjhgjhg" beating up keltirs in DE newbie land. It was insane, there were more of those weird players than mobs. And they actually went red on you, probably wanted to go farming in SODA as soon as possible...

open notepad (start - run - notepad)
type "WTS A HELL OF A LOT MORE CHARACTERS THAN A MACRO HAS"
copy it (Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C)
goto lineage chat window
insert text and send (Ctrl + V then Enter)
repeat the last step 10 times in a row this should take you 2-3s if you are somewhat quick with your fingers
Congratulations you officially banned yourself, because you must clearly be using an automated program to enter your chat. It doesn't matter that these programs are called "Windows" and "notepad" right? Just because you don't know how it's done doesn't mean it's a violation of the EULA...
My second computer I use for my second client, setting up shops and stuff, when I don't switch on the chat (Alt + J) I can't see anything anyone PMs me, and I usually have it turned of when I use my SE on it (no room for chat on small resolution) so I can't see your pms when I set my shop back.

If your char is sitting, not doing anything, you can ignore it. If he doesn't answer in pm or petition, it could be afk.
If your char is up and buffing/healing/sitting but speaking in shout or doing whatever action that a player need to attend for, and you don't answer pm, petition, white chat and so on, you can be banned.

Hmmmm.... THAT I dident know... about copy/paste between Windows and LineageII..... in fact when I try it now (according to your instructions) I CANT paste text from windows into my L2 client.
Have you activates anything special in L2-Client or what?

You can only paste into the "not so official client", lol.
As for Franz, its really only going to play into their hands, while everyone is busy going after the small fish, the big fish will be establishing their power on the server and once they have it, no amount of crying foul will remove them and people will gravitate towards them simply because it will be the only place to get high end content.
LordC I'm not saying that "Stahlklang" isent using an official client, but if it is confirmed that its not possible to copy/paste into official clients then just have to say:
"Stahlklang, you just PWNED your self, by entering that reply :)"
Within one week of launch DD online was infested with bots. Same thing will happen in Franz.
NC sfot opens a new server, all the bots make new accounts there too, so they get more money per month.
Franz will be infested from time = 0 and the I dont' think the GM's need any help in identifying bots or illegal users. They are just ordered not to ban them. All evidence from playing this game points to the fact that they're ordered not to ban bots. Because just by playing the game you see hundreds of them.
I hate going to gludio cuz i all I see is 42kgk2h4klj2h4l hitting guards to delevel himself. All that ever goes on in gludio. Then I waste 5 minutes of my life trying to turn in seeds cuz bot turn it in literally 3 seconds after manor manage opens.
