Ok, so you're launching C5, with the new European located servers, I know me and many others are thinking of bringing friends to the game. BUT everywhere the Lineage 2 time cards (and any other NCSoft timecard) is OUT OF STOCK, no trial accounts available either which is kind of a showstopper for some (since every other MMORPG offer it).
So it would be nice if you restocked these things (especially since its on your main page).
We're in the process of getting more inventory for the PlayNC store.
What I noticed as I did some quick research on the GTC availability is that some vendors have the old GTC art (either the launch or C3 art) up on their sites as opposed to the current C4 package. However, the C4 package is indeed what they have in stock. Don't know if that was part of the confusion or not, but we're looking into getting it fixed with the particular vendors.
Here's a few places that have them in stock if you need them in the meantime while we are restocking.
Also, the Sales team tells me that Gamestop/EBGames have a bunch in stock, but it's presently missing from their site. We're in contact with them presently about resolving this.
I personally serched and researched many local retail stores, CompUSA, GameStop, EB, BestBuy, even Walmart who carries WoW. Some store web sites says they still have it. But 90% stores say they do not carry it any more. Not just sold out, they do not plan to restock it. The exceptions in the very few slow branch stores you can still find a copy or two in the clarence shelf marked $9.99 or $6.99 each, standard or collector edition. Is the product at the end of the life cycle? Not when you try to log into the always busy servers, but yes when you ask the seller. Bad PR for a nice game.
I don't think that it's cause they don't carry it. I believe that some stores have more luck with people buying them than others. If 1 EBgames sells one a month, they aren't going to stock up on them, they will buy 1-2 maybe and let them sit on shelf till they are gone. The store employee's might just not recognize the product and [censored] you saying they don't carry it anymore. Where as other EBGames could be selling 20 a month, in my opinion it all depends on where you live, and how many people around your area play the game.

I was more purely refering to GTCs. In regards to individual retailers, that's their decision to carry or not. Tell your retailer that you want it if they don't have it, so they know the interest is there.
This is something we're looking very closely at, but there's nothing I could report to you at this time. We continue to put a lot of emphasis on our digital distribution partners, such as Direct2Drive in the meantime, but it's definitely our intention to make the game as available as possible and to follow up on further means make it so.
Yeah, the C1-C3 art is pretty...uhm...unimpressive. Hopefully you can get them to change this, its not a good way to attract attention. (I mean its just a dude standing there with a sword)
But these US vendors doesn't really help me much when I am located in Europe :/

Ahh, I forgot you were from across the pond. :o
I'll check in with the European office and see what I can find out for yous.
its more or less impossible to find copies of the game and time cards here in sweden. i've seen the game in same stores (was a long time ago tho) but i've never been able to buy time cards exept from some webstores.
Same in Australia, we have Auto Assault boxes, COH, COV and Guild Wars available at EB games but no L2. The old collector's edition is available in some very obscure store via back order tho. I just buy the time cards at a webstore that sends codes via email, no shipping required and so far very reliable.
If you get a hold of the european people, try and see if you can get them to deliver to this shop http://www.play.com/ they're awesome, no taxes and no shipping costs.
Also I would like some way of getting CDKeys for friends without them having to spend a fortune, I know some L2 timecards had trial keys, but are there other ways?
Kinda need a strong pull to pull them away from WoW now that there finally is a European server.
I'm not ignoring you, I'm just trying to get you good info as opposed to what's pieced together. The European team is on the case presently and I should have more meaty details soon.
Thanks for bein' patient.
Just checking up on it :D My impatient post would "OMG, where is it Rust, OMG OMG, wt<beep><beep>!!!"
Are you in the US? The current NA GTC package has a trial included.
Could you buy a 2 month GTC and then use it on the trial account to extend it 2 month?

Yeah I have some friends that are interested. I would love to be able to hand them a card and get them HOOK, LINE and SINKER.

Oh cool, thanks, totally missed you had responded.
Does the old L2 game time code include a trial code? I am kinda trying to avoid that they both have to buy the box *and* timecard, if they might as well get a timecard that has a free trial on it.
Too bad several of the sites are being nationalistic ******** and don't ship to Denmark.
Ok, couldn't get any, finally found some boxes with Lineage 2. But then we found out all the boxes had their security seal opened *sigh*, so god knows if the codes will even work or if someone noted the CDKeys somewhere. The darn store wouldn't take back the boxes either.
oh well, I told them to try them out and see what happens.
