Trying to open a world map and not having it open...kinda makes me forget Prelude since it don't work.
This thought then triggers another thought where you would trade your map to someone that didn't have a map and they would open it then give the map back to you and the map window would stay open. Great for helping PKers. >:)
Killing golems in the wastelands and more often than not they did nothing but plod after me, much like golems and lierens of prelude.
Ah yes wasteland golems....I remember poisoning them and aoeing them to death and leveling a wolf on them (Poison "Trick") Too bad that they went back and removed the XP that the wolf got b/c it never really did any damage.
Just today I looked through my numerous screen shots from during open beta when I was just starting on TI. My first screen shot was when I was level 12, hunting in the ruins with three other people (only one of whom still plays). One of the nukers was playing healer, two of us were playing nukers, and we had an archer. Man, did we struggle...bad gear, no adena, hard to find a spot in the ruins that wasn't camped. But we sure had a blast! Sometimes I wish it were still prelude.
I remember how mad I got when I was lagging and went to hit an SoE, but instead hit an SoE to giran at lvl 12.
I was ****** because I had no money to get back, so I had to run to giran harbor and take a boat back, 10k gone, I was like nooooooooooooooo. That was like 70% of my money. That was only 3 months ago lol.
Or in the mith mines with my first toon and seeing a dwarf spoiling and I asked what that sparkling thing was
I did that too (not there, though). I thought I was being socialable but she never responded. I thought for the longest time that she just didn't like me.
The first dwarf I saw spoil was actually a clanmate - our recruitment officer was big on following dwarves around and buffing them, and so we actually had two scavvies of our own.
Learning what an soe was. I had been running the guantlet in Elmore on a slow destroyer. Then someone said try using the gk and I was like what is that? I had always wondered what road would take me from Orc lands to the rest of Aden. Seeing gludio for the first time (back in c2 when it was what Giran is now) and going wow how do these people have all this stuff for sale, and how do I ever afford it? Took me two weeks to save up for bronze and a falchion.
About a year later after coming back from a deployment I was amazed to see the catacombs. I thought NC had put swimming pools radomly through the terrain.
Seeing a noobie in Gludio shouting what the "flashing thing" on a guys sword was.
I remember the first time i was introduced to SS.
I thought the guy was using magic or something lol...
When i first bought SSNG i saw them for 9a and though [censored] I CANT AFFORD THAT so i bought 50 "in case of emergency"
Same here, exept it was in dwawrfland.
Also getting hastle pots spoiled from mobs in ruins on TI, I moved there for the cool spoils in that place. I saved those potions for my first profesion quest :o
Getting an SOE on a drop (C5PTS) and remember farming the dryads outside of EF for these, and saving them until I had an OH CRAP train of mobs, then dying because it was so slow to cast.
