You don't see many people with bows because most use a dagger to level from 20-40, since it's faster at this point - there are plenty of archers later on, no worries.
Yes....that's the best way I can put it. SR is a tough one to beat. With their massive DEX, they crit a LOT, and for BIG damage. Good class choice, no matter what you want to do.

Yes, at the lower levels (I would even say as far up as 52), using a dagger is faster xp than using a bow - especially if you can get vampiric rage from somebody. Then you can go basically non-stop, except for visits to town to put stuff in your wh and to get new soulshots. Reason is that with VR, you heal yourself while killing the mobs - while with a bow, you have to use healing pots, rest or self-heal when you get hit.
Later on, especially fully buffed in a party, archers are overpowered. Archers are the best classes in pvp, even better than nukers.

Depends also. I use strickly a bow for my archer, only because I have a level 55 Prophet to help buff my archer well she levels. If you don't have a friend who has a buffer or a buffer yourself, then your best choice is to level from
20-40 using a dagger.
hmm you have a good ability with a SR you can use long and close range weapons witch a lot of class's dont
figures when you get critters close to you can alwas use a dagger to do the laste few damage on them sinds you still have dagger skills pass 40 from your rogue class
