Ok guys, this is our chance to make this server the best!
i got some ideas that i would like to share with ya'll and please feel free to comment on them.
1- No Bots at all! i mean if u see a bot and you are sure its a bot,report it to anyone nearby (shout) or ur clan/alliance channels. That way we can just PK the crap out of it. NO MORE BOTS!
2- Help the starting crafters by selling/trading them mats and recipies. the more crafters we have in the server at the begining, the better. Party with them! i've seen sooo many dwarfs left out of parties just because they are a BH or WS, wich is ******ed.
3- Crafters please dont overcharge for crafts, dont expect to get rich in a day! charge a reasonable price for your services.
4- i think PKing is gonna happen very often in this server, thats ok, but simply picking on the same player over and over again its not pking,that griefing.. if u pk someone once or twice and the ask you to stop killing them, move on and pick another target, im sure theres more players out there. Now if the player in question start Cursing and start acting up, well forget what i just said and hadle it how you see fit IMO.
5- WE HAVE TO WORK AS A TEAM! its gonna be petty rough days in the early days, but we have a chance to make this server our home. Make of it what we want and protect it in every way we can...
As of me, i'm rolling to this server and i will try to keep it bot/scammers free as much as i can.. this may be my last chance to experience the world of Lineage 2 the way it is supposed to be....
Rofl. It aint gonna work, the server will be full of ebayers and bots at the start, just like Teon was. That means lots of farmers to give money to those ebayers.
Maybe, but think about this.
Ebay-Joe stole daddies credit card and ebayed a lot on his server. Now he is happy on his server because he can buy anything he wants. Why would he want to leave his old server where he was king, and start all over again from level1? He will have to ebay all his gear again, and maybe daddy will see it this time! Why would he risk it?
At the risk of sounding like a carebear (lol) I'm not in favour of the PK'ing part. Believe me, I want them gone as much as anyone, but 1 pk+ no free weapon for me, which would mean a great deal. But I will report and otherwise grief those [censored] as good as I can with other means.
It may be a lost cause, but we might as well try to keep the server as clean as we can for as long as we can, and not just bend over and - you know, something I probably can't say here :p
Yeah, i hate it when someone comes up with a good idea and some frustrated old dude immediately replies "don't even think about it it's never gonna work"... :mad:
Hey, and why don't we put up some kind of a "server police", like a Clan whose only goal would be to get rid of bots, farmers and PKers ?
Well I think a clan dedicated to just keeping the server clean would take away from alot of the fun. Im saying I wouldnt have the patience to work on that project all the time. But if everyone who wants this to be a good server works towards that goal I think it can help alot. Coming into this server I wont hang out with people that cheat. I wont accpet them into my clan(work for that in progress right now). And I definetly would leave or not join in an alliance that accpets this kind of behavior. Its a smal thing really but if everyone thought the same way then it would help I think. Im really hoping this server doesnt get destroyed like most of the others. :(
You can't by Adena for it yet on the site which advertises everywhere, so I suppose that is something. I give em a couple of weeks, then the market will be flooded with ebayed Adena. ;)
... because there isnt a server yet.. how can you sell money you dont have ?
give it 2 days and they will have enough cash to provide people with a non grade set, then in a week its D grade.
you can try to keep it bot clean, but seriously, the ammount of bots on the servers... its so insane. and who is going to risk turning red, and in days have +5 pks from all the bots and lose his gear?> theres like 5% honoust people around that would give the gear back, or leacve you alone because you killed a bot.
seriously... have fun trying, but there are NO games that rely on money so much that doesnt have bots around
Seriously though, I see it as an uphill battle. They will have a bigger presence in newbie areas (because the will be newbies themselves). They will level faster and then have free reign over the higher level areas progressively.
Because while we're busy fighting a never ending battle with the farmers, the powerplayers level ahead of us and gear ahead of us and take control of the server.
