It will be nice to have that option, to be able to move ur characters from NA servers to the new created server.
Even a paid transfer it will be nice to have.
Last time a new server starter (teon) the boards were flooded with threads about how if NC ever allowed transfers they would quit. That was the last time i heard NC say it was working on them.
yeah, but something's different now: L2 starts to be old.
The game won't last forever and people like me who played since beta and waiting for char transfert as they stated they would do it for Teon are really disapointed.
Char transfer or at least stackable item/ adena transfer would greatly help to move to Franz because i'll probably be on another game before i can make it to the point i have right now.
I.E: Pointless to move for me (i'm a slow leveler.. cause i don't cheat and don't have much time to play). By the time i'd be back to the same point, L3 would probably be out...
Quite right, misfits from various servers would transfer to the new one and PK people to pretend that they were UBER. (Nothing implied about the OP, of course.)
Although I understand the desire of moving our beloved character to a new server more adequate to our time schedule, I think it is not a good policy to follow.
Well developed characters, with or without weapons and armour, with or without adena and items, transferred to a brand new server would only unbalance completely the server.
They would get all the clan halls, castles, etc immediately and would control the server since its creation. Of course that, most probably, farmers will go there and develop strong characters quite fast to do the same thing but at least legit players can do it also. Legit knowledgeable players can also develop a character quite fast and if they put into it the dedication, effort and organization needed they can achieve very nice things in Franz. So, at this moment I think people should be organizing and thinking how to populate the new server with well organized clans of good players. Planning ahead, establishing goals and preparing strategies and tactics to overcome the farmer invasion expected to the new server.
On minute 1 of Franz, legit players and farmers will have the same chances. Its just a question of willpower.
Having said that, although I am against character transfers to brand new servers, I think we should have a payed service provided by NCSOFT to tranfer characters between long established servers. There are many reasons why a player wish to transfer his characters to another server and I think this should be possible. The market exists so NCSOFT can have another revenue source.
So Viorel, start to talk to your friends or make a post here. Organize a clan to start up at Franz and try to be the best of the best. Go on, time is becoming short...:)
I would agree with a one time server transfer to an astablished server only. This would be a one-way one-time trip for each toon you pay to have transfered. I wouldnt even mind if it was just the character and not any of the gear or adena on the character.
I have a lvl61 Glad on Teon that I will never play again. Instead of just setting on there and waisting away I would love to have him on Devianne. I would definatley play him on there. That being said yes I could just lvl another glad on Dev, but After a year on Dev and my Sps is still only lvl 66 I dont think I could handle lvling another toon to 60+.
Just a thought I know alot of peoplw wouldn't agree with this but I do like the idea.
