With my clan mates we decide to start this Q. We talk to npc,he give us the book,but inside the cave none of the mobs (paliote,hamrut,yinju,kranrot)drop us a thing. the only mate who take drop(and not one)was the one who not have the Q for fishing shots.We thought that is a coisindence but another player told us that have the same problem and fix it when abord the fishing shots Q.Can anyone help to fix it?I dont want to abord from fishing shots Q.
The quest works, but its just a pain in the [censored], you have to kill ALOT of mobs to get only a few pieces. I spent 3 levels in Giants Cave and only got one set to match. It is an awful quest I will give you that.
Yep, confirmed, I have also played there for like 3 levels and I even do the quest together with two friends.
Only yesterday we got the first ser of books(chapter 1-5) and turned them in. We got a recipe: Sealed Tallum Breastplate 60%.
We still have a lot of books/chapters left, but we need the last chapters to finish the sets.
what our clan did...was just miss match our quest items. and believe me....this quest is bad...but you have good days and bad days....i went a full 2 days with no quest item...and another day (6 hours) got 10+ drops...just cross your fingers when you do it :)
Quests now give only 1 item per mob. In the past you have a chance of getting an item for each quest. For example, if one mob is involved in 3 quests then there was a chance you get an item PER quest. NOW you only get ONE ITEM.
If you have the fishing quest active then you should get the rewards and remove the quest. It interferes with many many quests.

Huh? Not since last night, surely.
It has been like this for awhile now. I think there are exceptions such as when the quest item drop directly into your tradeable inventory such as coins instead of quest inventory.
Anyway, I used to do my entire 2nd job change at once and I would kill overlapping mobs and get multiple quest items. As far as I know this will not work any more.
The other test for this is Valley of the Saints. There are 2 quests there that overlap with each other AND the fishing quest for sweet fluid. Before the changes it was possible to get all 3 quest items from 1 kill. Now you only get 1 item and a majority will usually be the sweet fluid.
If this quest structure has changed then maybe someone can post.
I think i used to get 2 quest items on VoS, sweet fluid included.
And when I had the level to go to GC on C3, the quest item drop rate was pretty crappy. Never got to complete a set.

And no 4r4k4w4, I've ben spending many months at that spot, sweet fluid + theos quest items do not drop at the same time, only ONE party member get one item and the rest get non per mob. Not possible to get 2 quest items.
Thers only 1 reason for that.
Mobs can ONLY drop 1 quest item at a time right now, if someone got the fish shot quest cancel it imedietly becose it will screw up ANY other drop the party get, becose thers a higher chans he get a fishing shot drop then an key item for the GC quest.
Haha go figure. I have the fish quest opened and I never got 1 single book the time I spent in GC, never really thought about it untill I read this post and I don't even fish anymore. /cancel fish quest.
yes fishing quest also interfers with Wishing pot quest . You wont get your item. Trying to kill that dam "wind" thing up by O/b. Dumped quest got item 20 min later. Prior to that 3 of 4 members had quest 1 person got in 20 min while we kept trying. Then we realized we were gettign sweet fluid. hell of bug if you ask me , Lost 800 sweet fludis. :confused:
