Franz sharing name db with other servers?

i know some of the other servers share the same name database,
so my question will who will franz share theirs with, i mean, can i use the names i have on bartz, or Teon?, and so on.

No. I've only been playing since C2.

k, then i'll instead say that im sure they DID share the name database when they first launched, cause i know i couldnt have same name on all servers when they launched

thats because someone already had it. I cant hvae Dunedain on Teon or Gustin but i can on bartz and sieghardt (not tested others)

That was a rumor. Random names on bots eventually have to hit a name you want.

During OB/Prelude I had the same character name on Bartz, Gustin, and Erica

I think if we had to share a database we would all be xxxxxxxxNAMExxxxxxxx or bot names :P

yes, ive tested it now also, you can have all the same on all servers now, but in prelude each 4 or 3, or however many, shared name server, i still believe this untill someone says they had the same name on all servers in prelude,

Even the bots don't share the names. I've seen already a few male dwarves on a few servers named fghhwww and wawawatr. :D hahaha

ugh i dont think every server shares the same database i got several hasitakas R3gr3t and ltscavy/ltarty on several servers

The servers most definitely do not share name databases. As a testament to this, there is a Vekrander on every single server, all of which belong to my account. So have fun having your same name on Franz, that is for as long as nobody else takes it, and for as long as it is not Vekrander.

I remember hearing that certain servers shared a name database, but there's no way I can verify whether or not it was a rumor. I've never really had much interest in playing on other servers, to be honest. ^^

Obviously they don't share one now, but perhaps at one point they did? I'd like to hear an official word on this - now I'm curious lol.

I also remember them stating that, i believe back in prelude before live they were shared.
