Game Pad

Tired of the ****ed run around. Im trying to figure out how to configure the game pad functions. I have the Xbox 360 conrtoller for windows (I hate playstation). I cant find any help on it whatsoever. Also how do you get your shortcut bar to be 4 icons like ive seen in screenies.
No ones shortcut bar is four icons long. The only icons that are four long are the control icons for the game on the lower right.

As for gamepad... I have a feeling you need a game pad that is programmable, there is nothing within the game to set up a gamepad.
yeah i know there isnt.. and i have seen screenies of shorcut bars that is a small square with 4 icons in it. I just wanna make surethere is now way to customise the movements.
I know when my game pad is hooked up that cross hair icon appears at the end of my shortcut bar.

Clicking it changed my shorcut bar to a 4 square diamond.

Defaulted to 1-4, left trigger brings up 5-8, right trigger brngs up 9-12.

It takes some time to get used to but for lazy play it's ideal.
I just get the whole world spinning around - no matter how I set up my pad. The keys all work, and movement, but the axis are all messed up.

Does it have a throttle? My gamepad has a throttle control onboard (z axis) that always gets used as rotation in rpg type games. I discovered setting the axis at 50% stopped the spin. Try simply deactivating axis (if yours lets you) or what I suggested.
uncheck gamepad in options
What good would unchecking that box do if i WANT to use the gamepad?
But many gamepads can be set to emulate keystrokes. If you are having L2 interpret your gamepad funcitons, then you are getting double use of commands. Let the software package emulate keystrokes from the gamepad and tell L2 it doesn't exist.
