OK, Lionna server is lagging and I'm getting ticked. Not at the lag but at the ridiculous service.
The WHOLE SERVER is lagging. Everyone. Not only that, but the mobs are lagging too! Everything freezes for 10+ seconds and then when the server un-freezes, you are still at the same hp you were before, as are the mobs, and you continue casting/doing whatever you were doing before.
THAT is server lag.
So I petition the GM with a quick "the server is lagging" and receive a ******ed cookie-cutter answer within minutes telling me there is no server side issue and I should e-mail support and attach DdDiag.txt.
It's NOT JUST ME! And even if it were client side lag, HOW do you explain the fact that the mobs are lagging too!? Am I lagging so bad on my end that it's affecting L2 servers? I think not. And what about every other person who is experiencing the lag at the exact same time as me?
So I submitted another one, explaining a little better. And, ironically, it lagged right when I sent it. So about 10 seconds later I got the message that it was submitted. And in 30 seconds I got the same cookie-cutter response.
It's so frustrating to get an automated response to a petition. Especially if you submit it twice. The second one should go to a live GM - if there are any! None listed, but of course everyone says they are "hidden". Whatever.
Have to agree on some of the last server issues both on Lionna and the others. The reaction time as well as the actual response has been either lacking or amazingly over the top.
I remember that. Oh well, I wasn't doing anything that was really affected by the lag, but a couple of clannies were trying to do their class change quests. Let's just say they gave up on them tonight.
One of those couple of clannies only went to have a scrumptuous breakfast and will attempt her quest for giggles, but this is really stupid - especially leaving the autoresponses on when there's nobody there to check which one they're sending.
There was some strange item lag just before Gustin crashed yesterday. Could not use shots, potions, SOEs ... very strange. Like if item server was down or heavy loaded.
Well it for sure is server side.. Since I was partied with someone from England, East coast, Argintena, & Greese and it happend to all of us simltaniously. Oh.. and I live in Alaska. It could not be client side from so many different clients around the globe and still happend all at the same time. I am talking 20 to 45 second freezes here as well. And yes.. the mobs were "lagging" as well.
