baby pets

Was just wondering if anyone has heard anything on the future of pets, like baby cougar......will they ever be able to grow to adults?.......as they are rather pointless and useless as it is right now.
I find them pretty useful for my BH for solo play. I always ever need to rest for my HP and that cute little cougar is helping me a lot on that matter. He is not healing much, but he is sure healing non stop, so my downtime is drastically reduced.

P.S: this is my 2000th post !
grats :P but seriously.....1 hit or so from an aoe mob and "splat", pet is dead, would be so much cooler if they could become adults, and maybe ride them lol, (only wish thinking) :)
Unfortunaly, the baby pets were only designed to heal & gain better heals as they gain levels. They will only stay as baby form & not grow, unless some where in the future NCSoft changes that. You can also always try leveling a dragon into a styder instead, if you want to see something grow in levels. :D
Without a healer, they do alleviate downtime a little bit. My level 55 buffalo heals me 68 points I think it is. If I can find an area with mobs that are easy to manage in terms of keeping my pet alive, it really helps. It's like a constant healing potion.

They're amazing for alts. Whenever I make a new character I transfer my buffalo over. 68 hp heals every 3 seconds is practically invulnerability when you have 400 hp and monsters are hitting you for 15 points.
While the pets are way fragile, they do evade mobs that are 30 levels below them 9 of 10 times, and they can take at least a few hits. My 55 buffalo can tank for my level 1-20 alts fine.
True. COnsidering I'm a PP, I can buff & heal myself, but sometimes I pull more then one mob & my sleep doesn't always land, so I usually like that extra little heal behind me (my bird) to help out. I hunt mobs that are green & white (easier to kill for me) so even if the bird takes only 10%, the heal they give back in my opinion is well worth it. I usually hunt in a place with not so much argo, so my bird doesn't take any on.
Yes constant healing is an awesome way to reduce downtime with my SH. I've also noticed that my lvl 29 heals for 100hp insta-cast if I'm near death. It's saved my life a couple of times :).
As everyone has said, there have been no announcements about future upgrades for baby pets. However, I believe it is common opinon that they will eventually do something else.

Untill then I'll continue to use mine as a tackle box. When out fishing I go overweight easily so I often off-load fishing mats to the baby. Also, after I fish up a mob instead of a fish, I would normally need to heal myself. If I have my TackleBox summoned, then he takes care of healing back to full HP and he gets .02% per kill. I don't think I'll ever get the bugger over 40 but he's useful even at his current level (30).

So get out there everyone! Put your babies to work. Child Labor FTW! :D ;)
Beast Blessed Spiritshots, I find, help A LOT with the heals. My lvl 29 cougar heals for 73hp, when I use them, instead of about 35hp.
It would be cheaper per hp to not use pet bsps and just eat hp pots.
