I was browsing thru some of Korean L2 fan sites and came upon interesting announcement from NcSoft-Korea.
These included some of the changes coming in actual game play as well as additional services being offered.
On August 26, 2006 during the 2006 battle tournement party, NcSoft-Korea made following announcements for Lineage II.
Huge changes coming in September of 2006.
1. Weight decrease of consumable items (potions, Soul & spirit ores, etc).
2. Increase of maximum number of concurrent quests for a player. Fron 15 to 25.
3. Change of party matching system. Party members will be able to see party waiting list. party member can send paty invitation. (Currently, only Party leader can do these)
4. Party member summon skill. Summon party member to the party location!. No more SoEing to pick up a new/replacement party member. Simply summon new member to your location.
5. Stronger/more Efficient herbs (coming out in C5) and potions: They are making current herbs and potions stronger.
6 Addition of new potions: New high/strong potinos including CP, MP, and HP potions.
7. Core Time Playing Hours: From 8 PM to Midnight is marked as Core Playing Time and teleport cost is halved during this time.
8. Death Penallty change: No longer dropping of ITEMS when a player is killed by Monsters! Instead of item drop, new penalty will decrease players ability (Stats) which can be restored by new item available thru the NPC Store.
9. Total Buff Slot increase: Maximum of 24 positive buffs (user/plauer initiated buffs) + 10 debuff slots.
10. Short cut bar increase: Diplay upto 3 rows of short cut bar.
Above are in-game changes, therefore, NcSoft-NA will get it. However, following are additional services that NcSoft-Korea will provide that NcSoft NA should also provide.
Additinoal Services:
1. Server Transfer Service.
2. Charcter Transfer Service.
3. Charcter Name Change Service.
4. Character Sex Change Service.
(May require service fee)
I remember seeing several posts about ppl willing to pay $ for some of these services (server/character transfer).
So when will the NcSoft-NA follow what Koreans are doing and provide these services? I for one is willing to pay the fee for these additional services.
