Hatchling xp

Hello everyone!
Need some help on how a hatchling gets his xp. Some say i should stick to his lvl and let him bash away.
And some put him right away in... example Aden Cemetary.
Any tips on good hunting spots for lvl 37 --> 55+
Btw using my DorkElf as support if that makes any diffrence.
Thanks in advance
As long as you can keep aggro to yourself and be mindful that if something spawns on top of it and aggros it will die then you can pretty much lvl it as you like, imo. It also depends which hatchling you have I guess, a star can take more hits than a wind or a dusk, but a wind will be able to bring down a mob faster. Look for posts L2Girl has made about raising striders, I think she's been succesful at it if memory serves.
Dragon valley...that's where you level hatchlings :), for level 37-45ish, i leveled it outside in death pass...just make sure you keep argo and let the little guy attack also, i'm currently on lvl 47, and i find dragon valley skeltons are great to level him up, just make sure you keep the arog, that's very important
Myself, i found the best way to level a star hatchling was to use root + nuke. I started at Hardins Academy, then at lvl 40 went to the ivory tower crater. When it reached 45 or so i levelled in the cemetary until level 50, where i took it to lvl up in dragon valley. Empower helped a lot (obviously) and it seems an SE is the best to level up a star hatchling due to high lvl root + emp 3.

Trying to kill mobs that are 10 levels higher than it, isn't the best way to level, as it means you kill a lot slower and i guess you end up getting less exp. Took me 5 full days of grinding to get it to a strider, which i then wasn't very pleased with because i couldn't be bothered to level it up anymore (it's speed increases with lvl) - so i ended up selling it for 80mill.

Sorry for long post =P

Edit: Just seen ssxsin write about the mobs outside dragon valley (same as hardins), and at the entrance of dragon valley at like lvl 40 - when i said i lvled in dragon valley at 50+ i meant things like thunder wyrms, and the gargoyles, just thought i'd mention to avoid confusion
I see a lot of people level there hatchlings in EV for some reason.

A star hatchling does not have more HP than a wind anymore. They have lower Pdef than a wind now too. C3 stars were tanks, in C4 they are mages.
Did someone call for the dragon lady? :)

I'm no pro by far, just one of the more vocal dragon cheerleaders! I don't want to cover the same ground, so check out the guide I wrote a while ago:

Most folks start leveling their baby beasties in Dion (undead mobs + bishop equal ownage). Dragon Valley is certainly a great place, as is Hardin's Private Academy. Next go to Ivory Tower area (if you can silence mage mobs (like Ole Mahums) it will rock). But by the time he's ready to hit 55, you should be in EV.

Another great way to level hatches are in catacombs. Just like wolf owners, you can pull the mob to the hall, and while maintaining aggro, the dragon kills it. Make sure to check mob levels BEFORE you go. :)
