hi im am going to by majestic light, majestic jewls and a soul bow for my HE soon and i was thinking what will happen to the prices when c5 comes?
At a guess... I'd say a-helmets down, all armor up a little because of people blowing up a bunch going for +6, a-grade armor up a little more because a lot of people will go for a-grade sets now that helmets are a little easier to obtain.
thanks
saw a +4 tallum helm for 80m today ... usually theyd be selling those **** things for like 150m.. hope they come down enough so that i can afford one to complete my a grade robes :)

yeah prolly what will happen
basically you can forget about getting tallum light or robes for crystal cost anymore but at least your helm wont be worth double what you weapon is worth
Depends who's selling it.

If our little 24/7 friends have anything to do with it then the drop in price on the helmets will be loaded up on the other items. They'll still want to make the same amount, after all they are a business.
Don't forget that there won't be any new grade introduced this time.
It's the new grades who put the most stress on prices.
Usually all prices go up at start of new Chronicle. It has every time so far so I don't see why this one would be any different.
Yeah I know I for one am NOT selling my maj helm even if it cost 230 mill because I remember too well how the same helm was 90 mill at the end of C3, and in C4 shot up to 250+ mill.
I think prices for armour & helms will go down & weapon prices will go up a bit. For certain grades thou. :p

Of course they did... Since NC added new grades by then !!!
When NC added B grade, ppl rushed to get it.
When NC added 100% B grade, ppl rushed to get it.
When NC added A grade, ppl rushed to get it.
When NC added S grade.. I hope you get it.

Chronicles didn't distort the law of offer and demand. They distort the demand ITSELF.
This time there won't be a rush to craft new grade so the demand won't skyrocket as it used to.
Use our brain.

And if you use it further you'll realise that since ppl only have more money with time (despite all the money sinks introduced), prices can only go up.

When NC added S grade..

Well I don't really know what will happen with the prices in C5, all I know is how the prices on A-grade has dropped dramasticly in the past 1 month or so.

So yesterday I FINALLY got my DC robe set and my Sword of Miracles for my SH :)
For the DC robe set I paied 100 + 50 + 13 + 14 = 177 mill and I paid 67 mill for the SOM.
For one month ago I think the price would have been something like 200 + 75 + 22 + 22 = 319 mill and the som would cost like 75-80 mill.

So no matter what the prices will do in C5, then I'v already made a good deal, and the best part is that after I have sold my Avadon Robe set + Homu+8+Acu, then I will still have like 100 mill in cash :)

Except bones went to 2.5k per piece.
And Varnish 1.2k.
as stated earlier about the armor going up cause people are going to try and OE everything...i don't think this is the case. but i think that base mats are going to sky rocket because of this. everything ttime someone blows up some armor....alot of mats are gone with it. i think that full item prices will drop but basic items will rise.
Here's what I forsee:

Demand for A grade will remain pretty constant, it may drop slightly, because even with OEing of armor, the vast majority is going to just be happy that they finally got their helm.

Supply of A grade - as we all know the bottleneck is in getting the recipes. This is going to be totally removed, so supply is going to go way way up.

That means A grade prices are going to drop.

All that A grade armor doesn't really take a huge amount of mats, so my guess is that mat prices will stay about the same.

Then there's S grade impact:
Demand - There's not a super huge demand for S grade, because your average players isn't able to wear it yet. A quick look around town reveals that there is quite a bit of S grade sitting in shops, even though it is priced high, if the demand were high, you wouldn't see nearly as much of it.

Supply - The bottleneck for S grade is the recipes, and that isn't changing.

To Sum up S grade, the demand will rise slowly as more people hit 76, but this isn't something that happens quickly. In addition, supply is choked by the recipes, and they are considerably easier to get than the A grade one's used to be.

S grade won't have a big impact on mats, because there just aren't enough recipes. Even if you do get the recipe, the next bottleneck is in the key components. Mats are the last thing to worry about.

My guess is that there will be a quick spike in mat prices as people finally get their A grade sets. Once they get that done, it's a long ways to S grade.

The mat prices are going to actually drop significantly a few weeks into C5. All things A grade are going to continue to drop with it. S grade recipes will remain high, S grade components will remain high, and may go up in price.
