Bgrade newb- how to upgrade armor to heavy/robe?

Player Questions Started Last reply 8 posts
Hello all- just hit Bgrade and shopping armor sets. What is the process of converting a standard piece of set armor to Heavy or Robe? Is there a quest for this, or an NPC to visit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated- thanks much!
If you're referring to sealed boots and gloves, a Blacksmith in town can break or restore the seal on B Grade ones for free, the Blacksmith of Mammon can do the same, for a fee, for A Grade.

Good luck. :D
Thanks Maline. Again, as a very part-time playing newb here, does that mean for example, I can take a pair of Doom or Zubei boots/gauntlets to the BS and he can make them Heavy or Robe so the set bonus can be achieved? I apologize for being completely uneducated on "sealed vs unsealed" teminology! Thanks!

yup, its the blacksmith in town that unsesals B grade armor

they will say for example "Avadon Gloves robe " when made to robe for example, the type of armor it is will be said in its item name

The sealed items looks grey'ish, with a white hue around them
fantastic- I will try this out. Many thanks for the quick replies.
please keep in mind you cant reseal the actual armor
only boots gloves and helm
You can reseal helmets?

I'm sorry, I totally forgot about those parts - but I always figured that nobody would want to reseal those parts that you don't need re-sealed to match a set. O.o
Naw, you can't reseal helmets as they are universal. The helmet for doom heavy, light, and robe is just "Doom Helmet". This goes for a-grade too.

Edit: It should also be mentioned that enchantments are preserved during breaking and re-applying seals.

Edit2: Come to think, I don't think I've ever tried re-sealing a helmet. I could be wrong about it being impossible, but I certainly don't see why you would want to.
