This Saturday @ noon PST, 3pm EST, 8pm GMT the Invincible & Mirage alliances will be raiding Valakas. As most players know, we are the only group in North America who has killed the dragon, the ultimate boss on the server.
We have approximately 135 Invincible members and 50 Mirage members attending for a total of 185 players. The last time we killed the dragon we have 186 so the numbers are right on par.
Since this is a unique experience I wanted to extend an invitation to a few players not in our ally who may want to attend the raid. Any mage must be at least lvl 73. Other classes would need to be high lvl and be considered good players and trustworthy people. If interested in attending please pm me in game today or on our L2Invincible forums. You will need to complete the quest today.
As always I try to be upfront. If you are not an Invincible ally member and you attend the raid, Chaos may consider your attendance as a hostile act and attack you at a later time. The choice to attend is fully yours. I just wanted to extend the offer. We will kill the dragon either way.

The Valakas quest takes no more then an hour to finish. It's quite ez. You SM with a BD to an npc which starts the quest. Then you go kill 50 half hp mobs outside of Goddard. Then you SM back to the npc who gives you the quest item. That's it. Nobles can port directly to the npc, and top parties can fight mobs to there.
Sorry for the short notice. I wanted to ensure all our Mirage/Invin ally members who wished to attend would have a spot. At this point we are 90% full but still have space.
No that will result in a official kos because you were helping them raid!!!
IVE GOT A SCRRENIE OF YOU WITH AN INVINCIBLE MEMEBR IN GIRAN.
DONT EVEN DENY IT.
YOUR INVINCIBLE ARNT YOU?!?!!?!?!
LMAO!!!! <rolls around, unable to contain giggles> ROFLROFLROFLROFL!!!!
Jkoster isn't invincible, lmao, he's just too well connected. Aren't you? By the way, it helps to use spellcheck if you intend to make a scathing statement. Otherwise it comes off as ridiculous. That was a good joke. :D

I really wonder what Rising blades has to say on this subject you worthless pos.
See here's the thing. Chaos freaked out when inv KOS'ed RB. So if they want to keep us as the badguys neutrals are safe. Anyhow PM your inv friends and ask about a BD. There's a lot of people doing the quest and it IS really easy.

I'm sure they'd say something like RB attended a raid and were put on a KOS because of it. It was their choice to go and they were indeed attacked at a later time. I fail to see the hypocrisy.
I think the whole idea behind it is people think that Chaos will NOT KoS those who go raid Valakas, unless they show reason to become a threat to Chaos, or whatever. That's just what I see it as.
Chaos can decide on the KOS part however they want but it is a little line they get to dance on after the all the talk the first time. But again where's the hypocrisy?
The hypocrisy, I think, is centered around the fact that Invincible KoS'd RisingBlades even though they showed no obvious or immidate threat to them. And then you take into account what I said before and there lies your hypocrisy.
n 1: an expression of agreement that is not supported by real conviction [syn: lip service] 2: insincerity by virtue of pretending to have qualities or beliefs that you do not really have
While the change of our "neutral standing" in the eyes of Invincible obviously continues to be something of debate. We are in fact not KoS. Neither are we under any sort of protected status.
Members of Rising Blades were warned at the raid that we were endangering our "neutral standing" by going on a raid with Chaos. We were given notice after that we were no longer considered neutral. Many people may disagree with the decision, but it is what it is. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. End of story.
I fail to see the hypocrisy. I seem to remember leaders of Rising Blades offering to raid with Invincible after the Antharas raid...anyhoo...
You may very well find hypocrisy in other aspects of the Invincible ally, but people are reaching on this one.
I can't speak for the rest of Chaos, but I think it's ******ed to KOS someone for going to Valakas w/ Invincible. That's an awesome opportunity, one that doesn't come along very often. Why would I begrudge them of taking this chance? Of course, if they were to engage in pvp w/ Chaos on the way, then we'd have an issue. But just going presents no threat to Chaos in any way, shape or form.
I would say all that even had the previous Chaos/RB Antharas thing never happened. I'm not changing my tune just to make Invin look bad (they do that on their own.) I honestly think it's stupid to KOS someone for taking part in an epic boss with an enemy ally. I could see, if a specific clan were helping Invin w/ every boss every time, partied with them exclusively, etc. that I would eventually start to think that clan was anti-Chaos. But one epic boss doesn't mean a thing.
IMO, dues is just trying to show himself in a better light by saying that Chaos would (might, w/e) act the same way he did previously.
yes the 20 SH were much more valuable than the 30-40 SpS on the water weak dragon. The 140 non beyond people were really just excessive and i bet you could do it with just a clan or two. But seriously it's nice to know that you can avoid being petty when someone else acomplishes something.

Sorry i wasnt reffereing to the amount of people that killed it, more to the percentage of drops that will go to them.
Sucks for those people that got dc'd and ended up in Goddard before the end. I would feel seriously cheated that the GM's would refuse to port you back into his lair (I'd assume they would, I don't actually know)

20 beyond, 45 mirage, 100 inv, 2 neutrals
do the maths.
total numbers start, end many got DC and ended up in town

TL got his quest bugged while turning it in at the NPC, he emergency petition. the usual nothing happened.
Then one of our bressers with 600 bresses got DC and got to town. Petition, was told to send an email lol.
Then our rechargers DC'd at the last 30 min and they all got auto replies.
BUt Valakas compared with Antharas is like Ferrari vs Trabbant.

Turns out an emergency petition is immediately refered to a GM who will e-mail first thing monday morning to resolve the issue.

Wow, that is quite possibly the worst example of customer service I have ever seen. I'd really love to see what someone such as Mistryl would have to say about that. Probably not much as she has to be the public face of the company here.
Yeah the quest is a bit more of a hassle and he doesn't really drop much better than antharas. Most servers have just decided that it's not worth the trouble.

I don't think it's worth the trouble either, at least to farm that is. But once or twice is cool if you can cover the xp loss with brezzes. People can say the necklace is worth it but only one person benefits from that really. Don't mean to sound like I'm taking away from the fact you guys killed it btw.
I'd be happy killing him one time, just to say that I have done. Only 2 bosses I haven't personally participated in killing are Zaken and Valakas. Would like to do both before I leave this game.
From a financial standpoint it'not as good as antharas i beleive. Roughly same drops nd i think about twice as man deaths. We had a lot more than needed but i'm pretty sure we used more than antharas. Also a lot more dangerous to get tot the entrance.
Edit: also Antharas is like a tank. Not that gast, tons of def and hp. Valakas is like a DD not as good on the HP def side of things but fast as anything and he does TONS more damage. With TP on and fully buffed i am a 1 hit.
Thanks to all who made the raid possible. Had a great time, wonderful experience.
I wont respond to most of the negative things said in this post because it wouldn't be helpful and I don't want to turn this thread into an argument. I will share I love Lineage2. IMHO it is the best MMO that exists. I have tried my best to find a better MMO. I went to E3 and checked out pretty much every MMO that is coming out in the next year. I scoured the internet, magazines, etc. I recently tried Archlord. There is no better game then L2 coming out in the next 6+ months so I will continue to play L2 and have fun. I will share I am disappointed in the way NC Soft US manages L2. I recognize they have done a great job in many areas but they could do so much better.
Last week I sent an email to HGSpam advising him our ally was doing the Valakas raid and I asked to have 1 GM available to respond to any raid needs. I very specifically stated I was not asking for any special treatment other then to correct any game bugs, etc. for a historic raid that was only ever completed one time on any US server prior to this weekend. I received the read receipt but no reply, and no GM available this weekend.
So many bugs/issues in the raid. Prior to the first raid we took a party in and woke Valakas. We tested many things like logging out/in, d/c'ing on purpose and we always respawned in the lair. This time d/c = go to town which REALLY hurts the raid. It shouldnt be too much to ask that those players get moved back to the raid. Also I completed the valakas quest, got the item but got owned at the npc. It took the quest item but I didn't get in. There was a 3rd issue which I can't recall right now. Basically as players we had a planned major raid, the ultimate challenge in the game, and we didn't receive the needed support from NC Soft. All we desires was for the game to be bug free or for GMs to be around to adjust for the issues. Below is the screenshot of me getting owned.
I have loved my experience on Lionna server. It's been an incredible time. I have spent most of my time in one clan, BBW in one ally, Invincible. I have played the game exactly as I wanted to, working with great players and great people to overcome all the ingame challenges. We did so many things, did them first, for the longest. It would take pages to detail them out. Basically what I am saying is I seek new challenges, new adventures. I will continue to lead the Invincbile ally for the next 4-6 weeks. I want to help the ally through the C5 transition, kill the new bosses, take the new castles, etc. Otherwise you will find me on Franz, the new server. I will begin playing there on Thursday. I would welcome anyone who wishes to join. My intentions are to initially make a large raid boss clan and level almsot exclusively killing raid bosses.
To both my friends and enemies I want to extend my thanks for making my time on Lionna such an incredible experience. I have had so much fun playing this game....it's been well worth the enormous time investment. To those who say the only ones who win the game is NC Soft, I would say you are wrong. Log in, have fun, and log out. You win. It's that simple.
Probably as much help as bravehawk, 2/1, and brothersingame.
You mean the farmer raid boss clans that have their own alliance? The ones that aren't in Chaos? The ones whos bosses are the same as Beyonds??? The same Beyond in Invincible??
That's odd. So why is that those clans rez you guys and PK inv and beyond? Just because they aren't in your alliance doens't change the fact that they farm for you.
