Devils Isle and Anthras Lair?

I noticed that when you get to a certain point in these areas, they have a debuff effect that is area wide.

For example, we started doing the quest for A grade robe fabrics / recipes last night, and headed on down into Anthras Lair, we ran past the first room and whole group got paralyzied.

Same thing happened down in Devils Isle, except once we went past a certain point we all got a mass posion dot on us.

Anyone else have these effects on them before even with no agro from mobs themselves? I spoke to a few friends who have been to these areas before and they think im nuts. :(
I've had that happen in Devil's Island. But not in DVC. It's the mobs there that cast paralyze.
always bring a Bishop with u.. and Bishop should stay at max range if possible..

Same with Toi5, I once got drained by the environment in Devils Island but never had anything strange happening in DVC.
There are areas in Devils Isle that can hit you with poison, there are also areas that can hit you for fire damage and paralyze you as well. No mobs needed. You should see a system message saying you are in a dangerous area.

Which is probably another part of the reason why (beside the crappy architecture and mob composition) *NO ONE* levels there. (Beside the obvious mention of how far out of the way it is.)
Well it is the reason I love it there. One of the most diverse dungeons in the game.
The only reason DI sucks is that you can't manor there. It would be really nice if they could just implemented a sowed seed surviving a transformation.
The only reason that pulled me to Devils Isle were the Sairon's Dolls, now cause they aren't there anymore, I see no reason to go to DI.

They're still there, I believe - at least I think I saw some in C4.

Since DI opened up in C2 I have encountered a number of various traps strewn within it. The deeper you go the more sinister they became.

From memory there were both a debuff and poison based AOE DoT trap, of which you write, but by far the nastiest was the buff trap, whereby party members would take 200 damage or so per buff cast on them. I recall that one with some dread as our healer had a buff macro which she set and went afk. Thank god for potions...

I've been around in DVC but I must say I haven't encountered this particular trap before. Thats not to say it doesn't exist, but it may have a particular trigger which may not be obvious, and running into an area is not always the trigger ;)

Its good to see that there are ppl who will take the time out to experience the less trodden paths of Aden.

I wandered all over Devils Isle in C4 and never encountered them again...if someone can post screenshots of the room + map of the Dolls in C4 I'd be very happy to see it.
Try clinging to the left wall as you enter, I think that should bring you there.
Ok its a start, thanks.
They are still there.

They're still there, but way in the back almost to the drop off to the boat. I'll take my TH out there at some point and get some screenies for you.
That would be great, I love them since the first time I saw them. :)
