I'm a new player trying to decide on what kind of class to use... I've noticed that the game is a bit grindy, so are there any classes that you have to think a lot to play? I usually play healers in most games, and I RP. Don't really feel like RPing an Orc though. Any suggestions would be very helpful.
What game did you play before? I might know you from somewhere else :P
City of Heroes and EveOnline.... no Citara's in COH though
Oh, hehe. Well, I highly suggest that you visit the New Player Guide on the main site and check things out there. I'm tired at the moment so I don't wanna go threw everything lol. BTW, Welcome to L2! :)
Greetings,

What kind of class do you like ? Fighter or mage ?

How about crafting ?

Hehe understood
I'm not really sure, as I said I usually play healers, but don't know how well they work in this game and such. Anything that isn't just click and wait as far as battling goes will probably work for me.

I think healers and tanks fall the most into the description, when they are in a party, of course.
I was thinking about trying out a tank, or a healer. Heh. Are healers any good on their own?
Greetings,

If you want to go on your own, I would suggest a tank.

A fighter is a great first char.

Get to know the game with a fighter char, they are much easier at low levels.

After that, if you really feel like it, you can dabble into the magic arts.

Paladin (human) can both tank and heal. They are a tank class, but can throw out heals in an emergency.
Profet (human) and WC (orc) can be good. But those are more of buffers then healers. But in large party play style of many profets is to buff party and sit big part of the buffround so they will have enoughf mp for the next one. Or at least that's what i heared and seen so far.
On other hand as a WC i got ton of skills to play with and able to buff, heal, sleep mobs and do damage with my mana. And and to look good as well =)
Paladin sounds interesting... I'm guessing they're good in groups and solo?

Well, I suppose I'll give one of them a try. After all, if I don't like I can always reroll

I've played a hybrid healer/buffer (Shillien Elder) for over two years, and I have to say I love it.

Also, I saw you mention you like to rp. Visit www.l2rpa.org (http://www.l2rpa.org) for more information about RP in Lineage 2.

(For now) only first toon (per server) gets the newbie benefits so research before you get too high level. If you have already hit level 6 on a toon, then it's too late. Roll to another server :)

For C5 starting september 6, there will be an adventure guide that will be loaning out mid grade weapons to new players. 1-19 you get mid NG and for level 20-25 you get mid DG.

Mage Nukers can solo very well. Melee toons level slow.

orly?

who are you in eve?
