A permit to annoy people...

Imagine for one moment if you had a permit to annoy people.

I am looking at all you subclassed peeps. Those of you that have this kind of power in-game.

Imagine if you were given that kind of a permit in RL, what would you do with it ?

It's in the way you dress, the way you speak, the way you move. Either you have it or you don't.

- Do girl cashiers drop change when serving you ?
- Do women open new registers when you are waiting in line with more than 2 people in front of you ?
- Do strange women come up to you to talk to you ?
- Do strange men smile and come up to talk to you ?
- Do most customer service reps fumble before you ?
- Does your Boss fear you ?

Transpose the skills you learn here and apply them.

L2 is the closest thing you'll get to reality.

People would probably stare at you in disbelief daringnot to approach or ask for an autograph.

Best way to experience this is to become a movie/television/rock-star and then trying to walk outside in disguise.

To annoy is like drinking. It's fun when done in moderation.

The power is usually toned down to only mild disturbances ( a correctly placed look is often more than enough, for example).

If you dose yourself correctly you'll inevitably attract people. Love or hate, they know "something" is going to happen around you.

Take yourself, for example. Everyone knows that the Devil usually has something to say. It's just those of us who can read Motion-esque that see it, and those that can't that make for an amused moment.

What do we look for, I wonder? The meaning, or the amusement from those that missed it?

I think his point was that those who have made it that far have that sort of power. Nobody goes gaga over my level 31 human knight, no matter how cute she may be.

Ok, gonna answer a few here. Thank you Sumireko for teaching the subclassed n00b who was trapped by my quoting scam.

Champa if you are interested in more power, you can purchase your permit with Aahxx. Just hand him your payment, and he give you the permit.

Some poeple are prophets, some people are witnesses (I have covered this subject already). You see the natural leaders will automatically pop up in a large group of people, if you keep said people confined together long enoug. This has been tested with the room full of people and you, as a group, must prepare a post modern world (after nuclear attack). Problem is, only 6 out of the 10 people can go into the bunker. Each group member is given a profession at random and has to convince the group to stay in the bunker.

I've roleplayed myself into the bunker once as a priest.

Prophets propose, and witnesses dispose.

Thats easy, I choose Hot Babe. War or no, if it looks like you are going to be the last man on earth, you want to have a hot babe at your side.

Failing that, I would choose gangster. Whipping out my gun, killing 4 spares (not the hot babes of course) and move in.

Or I would be the sneak, while the othes are discussing, I motion the hot babe to follow me inside and close the door behind me.

That's the permit scam. You see, the right comes with the power. That's my initial point. The permit is a just scam conducted by higher authorities (schools, government, game companies, players) in order to get money or adena off you.

The permit scam can also be used as a "do you want to sleep with me" scam. Here is an example, that happened to me just tonight :

I see, close to the door outside, a girl I know a bit talking with an unknown and cute girl (so I guess it's time to ask the n00b if she wants to sleep with me). so I approach the duo in hunting mode.

At about 20 feet from them, I hail out : Hello Josy ! (the girl I know). Josy replies with Hello Darkmotion (same greetings, I am now in and make my attack).

I quickly acknowledge her and spot my eyes directly into the eyes of the stranger (this is an agression, and is annoying to people). I give her small smile, no teeth, just to say it's a smile (this entices complicity). Then I pass between the two people (this is invading BOTH their social space and is considered very annoying). Of course I stop looking at the stranger while I invade her social space.

I am walking into the security door and I hear Marylin... I think nothing of it, but then I hear Josy say with a ferm tone : Darkmotion !

Oh, reaction. So I turn back to go see what was up, I open the door and look at Josy... She says : This is Marylin. So I turn and look to Marylin, and she says : Yeah, I'm Marylin, don't I get a Hello ?

Darkmotion : Oh, I'm sorry, Hello Marylin (now it's time for a nice smile, with teeth...). Then I let closed the door and as I was returning to work, I thought to myself : Well, the answer to the question do you want to sleep with me, Marylin answered "yes".

The REALLY great scams I pull you'll never know about.

The minor stuff I like to feature (like magic tricks). You see, the cantrip about the permit is that Aahxx and myself (along with a bunch of criminals) to sell permits to non dark elves hunting in dark elven country.

I wish I could link you, but it's been pruned... Around here, you'll have to recall to memory to remember all my 6K+ posts...

Of course, I remember them all, because I wrote them.
