To all you US Players

Did you guys notice a noticable change in your lag/latency when after the server got physically moved to Europe?

Just curious because my guild is moving to franz and would like to know if we will be experiencing any problems.

I've never experienced many problems playing on US based servers from Europe. Might be different the other way around though, but I doubt it.

when i logged into my toon on teon once the move was made, i experienced considerable delay between my commands and when they were executed.

however, i heard somewhere that there is currently a DB problem of processing data for the NA users in EU. i hope that gets fixed by the time Franz comes out.

It should be fixed by then. I just dont want to hear US people complain about Euro servers being moved to Europe ^^. Europeans have had to deal with the delay to US servers for over 2 years.

As long as that doesnt happen, we're happy lol.

nothing against the euros, it is great to see L2 get some worldwide coverage rather than just Korea and NA.

but i will complain that there hasn't been a new NA server for how long now? devianne was launched back in prelude? even in OB i think.

Well I'm from DK in EURO and since they moved the server my ping has dropped from approx. 117 to 37....... The only problem is that the SS-lag, item lag and common lag has increased so thats bad :(

So from my point of view the moving of the server has overall decresed the quality of the game(lag vice).

anyway, i don't think the player population is high enough for a 9th american server, especially if cheaters were removed or moved to franz.
maybe they should pick a random server and reset it, except hindemith of course:)

if i were gonna pick a server to reset, hindemith would be *first* on the list.

though, i'd rather compile the servers down into the top 3-5. after that, add another new server.

I wasnt there, but i remember hearing that there were only 5 or so servers orgionally?

When I first started there where 3 servers. I came in a few days before Lionna came up.... during OB. That leaves 1-3 for CB. Then there is Teon and Franz... that came after lauch. So no... not all servers where launced during OB.

NOOO he is right, there were 3 servers in OB then two more started in Closed Beta and than later 1+1 euro server(teon) - but dont remember when those two C1 or C2 maybe
