Help with picking a PvP class ...

Hello Everyone!
I was to start a char on Franz but his time around i whanted to pick a good PvP class.
As i have picked mostly good PvE classes all the time i thought it was time to pick a PvP class
to trie alite more on that aspect of the game.
So i am not really a good PvPer as i have only done a small share off it.
I know this is a topic that has probebly been asked a million of times but i wanna ask it again :p
So all you PvPers out there help me pick a good PvP class.
Aspects that i whant the class to be good at; or atleast one ...
Castle sieges, 1v1, group fights, open combat.

The nice thing about L2 is that, there is not a one class is best at everything. I feel that the Phantom Ranger is one that is good at sieging and pvp. If you have a Shillien Elder to buff there are great. I would add a dex tat to him as soon as you can. There run speed is very good and the live by their critical damage. Just a side note, you may not be asked to group very much. They are a great soloing class. I like having one in a group that does not go into the Casts. Out in the open field they are great. If you are going to do alot of sieging, look into the Hawkeye, they get a great long range skill.

Well getting invited in to groups i usally get from the clan i am in so that wount be a prob; and yea i think i will make a SE on franz too with my secound account.
I know this is a far dream as it will be on franz but would plated leather set with - Str + Dex thats be a good option for a PR?
something like -4 STR +4 DEX and -1 CON +1 DEX ?
i know one shouldent really lower there STR as a damage char but as PL give such a great bonus i would still have the same STR as before and +5 DEX..
But perhaps my HP gets to low with -2 CON?

My archer has -9 Con and +4 STR and +5 DEX, with Prophet buffs (not to mention songs or dances) she hits hard, very hard.

Prophet for an archer, Everything a Shillien Elder gives, a prophet can add blessings, haste and zerk on top of that.

Oh yes what I wanted to say with the -9 Con, ok she has less hp, but if you kite it doesn't mean a problem really. If you can't kill, you are dead anyway, so -9 or +9 Con won't make much difference on an archer, you want to crit and hit hard.

If you want a good PVP class, simply pick any archer or nuker and you're set.

I disagree. SE for an archer so you can get recharges, guidance, focus, DW. You don't need haste since you get rapid shot. And if you get GSA pots you're even faster... provided you can get enough mp from the SE.
That will allow you to get a useful SA on your bow, a dmg one.
You won't need zerk if you solo as it only drows more heals = less mp for the recharges = downtime.
And an SA is way over zerk buff.
And finally you can have a macro to root your target and don't care.
Prophets are for blades.

For an archer, you better have an SE !

SE for archer. you get everything you need except haste, which you can buy from store/dawn. and you will need recharges, even with a CS bow.

I read them, I would still go with Prophet buffs, I'm saying because I have a level 54 Prophet & an archer & the two of them together work amazingly. :p So I agree with Orvi

My clans lvl 62 PR has access to a prophet and and SE, he always wants the SE duoing with him. recharge and root do so much for someone that finds a place to maximize time/xp

but tbh, get both. >.>

hehe na 2 accounts a month is good enough and i hate tabbing out and in with 2 accounts... so three would kill me :)
Btw a question, is the archer haste buff not stakeble with haste?
think i have decided on a PR as i had read alot of post saying that archers are very good with a buffer.
I dont have to be the best its not that; but i wanna be able to kill some people before i die..
Instead of running to my target only to fall half way there.
choosing a buffer is still an enigma havent got a clue yet...
And now i have an even harder question to face ..

We aren't saying it doesn't work, we're saying the BEST setup is Archer with SE...
In other words : more xp over time with an SE.

What looks the best DE females or DE males in light armor; but i can figure that one out myself :p



I think males look better , females always look naked no matter what they wear
