Glad... closing in on lvl61 (A-grade)

So my glad is closing in on lvl61, and I have to decide what A-grade armor I will use.

My first thought was the Nightmare Heavy Set, but then again I noticed the Majestic Heavy set where I get +50% Stun resistance :)

I belive I'm like many Glads, so I have +4 STR/-4 CON and +4 DEX/-4 CON tatoos, so I really need the +50% Stun Resistance.

But how good is it actually?(Majestic set), what is your experiences?
I havnt seen a gladiator in Majestic in a very long time. I think most everyone has decided on tallum heavy, although, i do know a few people that have gone NM. It's a viable option and pretty good in PvP, but, not as effeciant as the tallum in PvE. Majestic just never did anything for me on a personal level, i've always enjoyed having more speed.

Also, with the tallum, because of the increased attack speed, your skills have a faster reset time, which, imo, is more important in a PvP setting then the sleep resistance the NM gives. No one ever uses sleep anymore, and they certainly wont be trying it in C5.
ohhhh.... I mis-wrote in my thread.... it was actually the Tallum I was talking about... because of the speed and the low cost.
Tallum heavy is one of the best sets in the entire game. I would only use NM at the end game when you focus on PvP, but at level 61, you need to be leveling and that is accomplished with tallum heavy and dual kesh, speed FTW.

At a more personal level, most prefer OE crit duals, such as +8 or better dual TSU*SLS. I tested this vs +4 dual kesh and the TSU*SLS was clearly better with full buffs, not to mention a lot cheaper on the SS.
isnt the patk of the +8 sls/stsu low.
hmmm a +7 sls*tsu is like 272 p.atk. so a +8 must be around 278 p.atk.
The p.atk. is lower then the A-grade, but the best part is that the sls*tsu has the +52 to crit.
It really makes the difference thats why a low of ppl choose the sls*tsu over the sls*sls.
actualy ive never had any problems with my Majestic armor, got my +++str, and +4% patk, never had problems in pvp. right now I have the run speed of mages, and the patk of archers (1900 patk) and I still have 6k hp.

isnt the patk of the +8 sls/stsu low.

Not at all, a +8 TSU*SLS has a Pattack of 280, where a +4 dual KESH is 284.
And a 33% higher crit rate...and those crits do more than 3x the damage when buffed >.>
But still from what i gather, its your skills that is dangerous in pvp not your crits.
So haste SA would probably be better than crit SA for pvp.

But that being said, I would have chosen to go with a pve setup and switch to pvp setup (or a mix) closer to 70.
Depends on lvl

A Gladiator, no
A Duelist, yes
good to know.
I started with Majestic armor. The patk gain was really nice and my skills did alot damage but it was to slow IMO. Chargin up took alot of time and lost alot of battles where if i pulled one more skill out that i could have won. I also had dam/kesh back these days.
My hopes for this build was entirely based on 1 skill we get on lvl 77 called skill mastery. It said it could make skill refresh in an instant and it was effected by your STR modifier hence my +5STR. When I got to 77 I found out this skill was unreliable (spammed powerstrike till my mp was drained and only kicked in 2...) and most of all it had a bad effect on you.
I sold my duals and armor and got kesh/kesh. The increase in speed was alot compared to what I had. Skill recharged way faster and being able to have Sonic Blaster refresh within 3 sec is great to have.

The best thing about MJ is that its stun resist works well in PvP but in PvE I havent seen the difference. Nothing is more frustating when a mob chain stuns with MJ on while the -con DE next to you resists it.
Tallum armor is great to have if your are planning to XP in forrest of the dead. Alot of mobs who poison and bleed you. With Majestic I was spamming GHP just to stay alive with Tallum I had no such problem. Also the increased Weightlimit is nice meaning more CP pots.

C5 is around the corner and we get a anti stun toggle so i dont mind losing the stun resist bonus from MJ.
