Conversion to LIVE???

was when i downloaded it like 20 min ago..

Thats the file to convert PTS to C4, look at the dates on the files. The C5 pTS to live conversion is not available yet.

on my file it was dated 6.september 2006

and it did update to C5..

btw.. it dosent matter what exe file u put in the map... (well, has to be a live server exe , not PTS)
cause it will update itself anyway..

Ok, so here's how I updated - I'm hoping I won't need to do anything else.

- Copy the PTS C5 folder to new location
- Copy the C4 LineageII.exe into the newly created C5 folder (and overwrite)
- Run the LineageII.exe you've just pasted.

This left me with:

- C4 client (for old replays)
- C5 PTS client (for those boring times when live is down)
- C5 client (ready to go)

That's it - I hope. Took about 6 or 7 minutes to complete the copy and about the same to run the update. The original C4 updater was displayed - but this was updated to the C5 one in about 1 minute.

Again, I hope this is all I need to do, as a 15 minute update for all those who have the C5 PTS client will have no wait time at all for the new update - I'm going out now, so I'm hoping when I get home it's just "log on and go"!

do you really need it?
I only copied the original lineage.exe from C4 over the PTS lineage.exe and started.
after 1 or 2 minutes I was ready and it seems to work.

Post a link if you would then please, whenever I try to get it the file inside the zip is dated 2004 not 2006.

as i said.. dosent realy matter what date the file is from since it will update itself to C5 anyway.. wich take less than 1 min

and yes.. i was wrong.. it was a old file.. but it still got updated to C5..
