It's a typical scam, hardly a fraud or punishable offence in the game. Just be careful about similar names and such as you appeared to have done looking at the screenshot.
I've had the exact same scamm attempt as you now show in your attachment...They are very inventive these past months...But this one is the most known and one I have warned for in a previous scamm/Fraud topic :)

Indeed everyone needs to pay careful attention to who they talk to and specially to who they lend (which they never should do cause all stats are known on the info sites) stuff to.

Hardly a fraud?? It's the definition of "fraud." (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=fraud)
Yes had the same thing myself. Seems its usually if you are stood with a clannies as it will be obvious that you are speaking to each other.

I just refuse to loan my wepons to anyone, no matter who they are, that includes clannies, clan leader and RL friends. It's just safer that way.

In the player guides section on this forum there is a huge thread on common scams, well worth reading so you are prepared.
Lol coincidence, Jasai is the name of my SpellHowler =P

But that scam is old anyway, if you look at the messages they send you, its all been pre written, notice how the fraudster doesnt respond to what you reply, just keeps sending you the pre-formed messages. Plus they all use those exact same words.
Up til a lil while ago i couldnt imagine anyone falling for it, but well a clannie did. Well me i find it ******ed, and might be wrong to say but hell if u fall for it u kinda deserve it.

A good rule of thumb is never give away squat like someone else said even to rl friends and clannies, well rl friends might be an exception.
