frost buffalo! D:

cant find that [censored], where the frost buffalo at in frozen labyrinth, been running around for like 40 minutes.

I found 2 spots, with one buffalo each. If that's all it will be a HELL to get those books.
Just now heared some1 selling an amulet for 10m >.<
It will drop, right? (i hope)

oh.. i found some.. and it spawned like 50 others...

That too..
I wonder, what's the drop chance is..
Doubit i can solo them and brining party into it is so not worth everyone's time.

yes u can solo it, i did with my 60 sr and did again with my 60 wc :)

The 5-7 1x mobs at once? By a WC... Guess i have to et my qhp from the wh >.<

By being in the right level range to farm my own boo-- oh wait, I don't get worthwhile new skills. :(

Me and friend BH died to those. Those antelopes and buffalos "split" to 6 or so spirits when being spoiled. Whops.

a tip, DO NOT ATTACK FROST BUFFALOS WITH SKILLS.

And your problem is solved, just hit it, and do NOTHING more.

And as far as I know, thers just 2 spawn locations, and the SB drop rate is just insane low, almost impossible to get it to drop hunted em for 9 hours.

Oooh is that how they split? I never got one to split but I was just using nukes.

Maybe you have to get it to split in order to get the spell book. But anyway with that low of a drop rate those 2 spawn spots will soon be taken over and hunted 24/7.

no you don't, I got all the spellbooks without any mob splitting.

I'v found like... 3-4 spawn points, but the real challenge is to find a location that are not occupied.
I just keep running around those 4 spots until one gets free...it take like 30 minutes or so.
Then I hunted the Frost Buffolo (and the Unuse groups) and within 1,5 hour I got SB:Greater Shield(the one I needed), Amulet:War Frenzy(i think) and Amulet:Chant of Earth.
An other guy came and was very desperate to get the Amulet:war, so I just gave it to him for free.
Then 15 minutes later the Unuse group dropped a Kris dagger FULL ... guess good deeds do pay off :)

And yes.... DO NOT USE SKILLS.... they spawn like 5-7 other and they are quite nasty..... and worse.... these 5-7 mobs is different then the frost buffolo, so they do not drop the books/amulets :(
So there is really no point fighting them, if you are hunting for the SB/amulets.

what books are you guys looking for?

What we discovered is they split when you use specials. Don't use them and they dont split, and they go down easy to arrows. We got the amulets, 3 of them, in an evening's hunt. They were much easier to get than the Bishop spellbooks from the Gargoyle younglings. ... well, they dropped at a higher rate, if you want to call it that. I think there are about 4 spots where a buffalo spawns. Good news is that they spawn "kinda" quick. Just keep yourself busy killing the other mob there until they do.

PS This is where the Amulets War and Earth drop, also Shield and Might and Surrender to Wind en masse. The interesting news is that the War/Earth skills (WC) and the Shield/Might (Prophet) skills cannot be done at the same time, one or the other. But they do stack.
