yes having 2 accounts helps sooooo much. you have a buffbot. prophet/warcryere/shilien elder. depending what class you roll. but any of 3 are great. having buffs makes you have barely any downtime. as tank. if your a caster, shilien elder . has empower+recharge. so you can keep on casting. you will lvl around 2x faster with buffs. If your talking about 2 accts of 2 melee/caster. it isnt worth it. but a buffbot+main char most certainly is. Hope this helps you.
And how about for selling? If someone has two accounts, can you leave them both online overnight... having someone selling Sould crystals and D-crystals, with your artisan from your other account sitting in dwarven craft waiting to make them? Or is that "unethical"?
if your talking about 3rd party program. to craft. think that is against l2 rules. but if macro in game somehow. i suppose so. Otherwise just make tons ssd on dwarf and sell it. ? i know at lvl 25 or so i could hold 90,000 ssd
Not a 3rd party program, but you know how you can select "Dwarven Manufacture"? Well do that, and just have another character selling the mats. So that people will buy the mats and use you to create them (which is much cheaper than buying DSS)
Yes, you could do this - the possibilities of having two accounts are broad and interesting; you can also buy cheap materials and sell the resulting crafts on a second account at the same time. I can say it's increased my gaming fun by quite a bit, but I'm anti-social that way. :D
Anyway, I don't think it's that bad - I understand that shouting LFG on an elder for five hours is not actually frustrating but a thrilling social experience, but it's just not my idea of fun. Thanks to mah BD-to-be he always has a party until someone from clan asks for his help, that's handy.
Good idea... I might have to look into another account. I haven't been playing very long, think it's smart for a noob to do?
You can level the buffer WITH your buffee.. much nicer than levelling them together at totally different level spectrums, or trying to level your buffer solo.
