First let me say that I am not complaining, I am requesting. Second let me say that I have made a petition, but I wish to describe my situation in more detail than the 255 charcter limit will permit.
I created my first character as an Orc, experimenting. I got him up a while, but did more research and talked to people and decided to abandon him and stick with an Elf. I intend to leave the Orc permanently. But because I got the Orc to lvl 13 before my Elf got up higher, my Elf can't get the extra SS, can't exchange items, can't get newbie buffs, and now can't get the event weapon. Yet I am a newbie player who really needs the services that are supposed to be provided to someone who can't fund a new character. Now I don't really care about most of that stuff, but can someone please allow me to partake in the event? I know you can't just give items out to any yahoo that asks, but can't you just give me the event weapons (in my case, Bows) I would get had I not created the Orc first? This event is meant to help a new player, which I am, isn't it only fair? Thank you for reading.
I believe Korean L2 recently had a patch that allowed any character on an account to get newbie buffs as long as it was the correct level. This should be implemented in NA some time soon. However the SS and weapon i am not sure about.
It's always best to experiment on a server that you don't intend to play on permanently - unfortunately, your request will in all likelihood not be granted.
If you delete your orc so that I disappears form the character selection screen and then make a new one you will get all newbie benefits, at lest It worked that way for me on the C4 launch. Good luck
I can understand your frustration. But unfortunatley they will tell you that you were warned when you started that once you get your first character to a certain lvl thats it.
Use your orc and his newb SS get the event wep and use him to farm and do quests to get adena for the other toon. Once you have enough adena to outfit him decently then switch back and level the new toon.
You dont need the buffs they definatley help but most of us did it without the buffs so we know it can be done.
