So far, I've not noticed anything which will affect the way I play (apart from maybe the sleep nerf) so I'd like everyone elses input. Post your favourite part of the new chronicle and state why. Try not to be too broad (e.g. The Clan System), mention something specific (e.g. The Acadamy) and what's so great about it. Would be nice for people who don't have time (or can't be bothered) to read the 100's of threads to find out the major and decent changes. I hope this thread doesn't turn to people criticising other peoples ideas - it's simply a place to post your opinion on your favourite aspect.
My choice has to be the herbs. They stack, often they drop enough so you can go from one buff to another without a break. Being a mage, this is so helpful getting that extra "x"MP to allow you to fire off another volley of magic before resting. They seem to drop in the same volume when I'm solo as they do when I'm partied with my girlfriend, so being that this is generally the biggest grouping I do, this is almost perfect for me.
Had time to explore last nite the new areas, was very impressed they all look great... At almost lvl 70 these spots are very low lvl and thats normal becuz those areas are suposed to be low lvl...
But regardless, it was very nice to explore, even took some SS of my exploring, very nice spots to hunt for low lvl players now, they will luve the fact that they have so much ground to cover now n spots to hunt in...
when to the cursed Castle, wow, very nice, worth going over there n taking a look, very nicelly done.
Also i went to monastery of silence, all i can say is OUTCH!! danger zone :P
That place is like 80+ mobs, n thats just at the entrance, wow.....lol
So for me right now, i give 2 thumbs up for new areas..... :D
While I haven't had a chance to actually experience it yet, I believe the reputation system will change the whole aspect of pvp. No longer do you pvp or take castles "just for the sake of it", but you more or less have to if you want to advance your clan. Wars will be fighting over an actual resource.
I also quite enjoy the lack of sleep in normal parties. I can thunderstorm now without people begging me to stop because I'll wake mobs.
Fav:
- Vamp Claw returns more HP
- I get to summon party members (soon, hopefully)
- Transfer Pain didn't get nerfed badly
- Necros should still kick ***
- Summon Cursed Bones! No more going to Hardin's!
- New clan system
- Anchor landing-rate increased
- A-grade will hopefully be easier to obtain
- Changes to Mass Slow
Not-so-fav:
- Vamp Claw does less damage (bad for PvE)
- Zerk and Holy Weapon requires grouping
- Daggers got boosted
- Sleep nerf
- Anchor effect-time reduced
- Tanks got root
- Mana Burn got introduced
- My summon can now be banished by more classes
- I can no longer un-summon while in combat, which means no more training of bots.
All in all, C5 should be interesting and I'm looking forward to it :)
Many positives, including the wonderful music as you travel south from Dwarf Village, then turn east after the tunnel.
One negative, too many HP and MP herbs. Game is getting too easy. Was in a party with a SE, who had no recharges to do because of the mana pots. Was in a party with a Bishop, who had no healing to do because of the HP pots. Both were bored ....so the HP/MP herbs were not an improvement for them.

*I love the new pvp-oriented offensive magic skills added to the bishop. Gives me some leverage...
*The ability to port across Aden when you are in a hurry.
*Access to A Grade Recipes thru drop/spoil.
love what they did to my binding cubic. now lands about 1/3 to 1/4 the time now pve compared to 1/10 ish pre-c5 loss of duration can be a pain, but twice now, I've used para to save me when I get overwhelmed by too many mobs and lose my cat (wack the mob until it paras, then resummon while it is standing there).
even para'd a couple of bots, but they just force logged after, so...

Picking the drop while poleing an open-area train without VR is definitely a fun now :D
I think the best part is giving bd's and tanks the ability to root and have a chance in pvp and take archers out of being able to win every single fight.
Now if they could do something about drac bows with focus or that annoying anchor spell...
Herbs
Difference in healing, they are actually better then before
New areas are always nice
New animations for buffs and mobs
Paralyze wears off quicker
Con
Sleep Nerf
Daggers go around CP...why using CP then?

free exp!!!
Try harder regions then...if the herbs are enough to keep you online, then there is something really wrong with the place you go hunting with that party. :)

Only 1 skill skips CP and it has a fairly bad landrate if the person knows your there.
Myself i love having windshackle, and HP/MP herbs make it so i can solo much harder areas and help my XPing a lot.
The reputation system is the best idea ever, finally makes clans something more than a tag over your head. The highest level areas in the Rune Territory is also pretty good.

Well, the herbs are meant for soloing, and don't drop in the areas meant for groups.
haha Tarun, just be satisfied in the fact that you could kill me, and i can kill mages. Honestly, i have never been able to beat a Warlord in 1v1 before, except for C2 of course
