I started playing about 3 weeks ago. As soon as i got to dion (20 or so), I was shouting if someone could help me with some questions. Well, i got a reply and 2mil on top of that for no reason at all. I requested to be in the person's clan who gave me this because it was increibly good of her. Well, later i get on and the persons' husband gets on, asks if i was interested in joining, i said yes, then he crafted me top D duals and said I would join at the day of c5. well, its been a week and a half now and i havnt heard from them. I cant seem to get anyone else in the clan while they're online, and I'm concerned something has happened. the dilemma is that it's getting really boring without a clan, I really want to start looking if this clan has forgotten/gone inactive, but they're gifts were worth a lot to me and i really wouldnt want to disrespect them. What would you guys do? (the clan is blackspiral... if anyone knows of them plz post)
Give it more time.....many people are still downloading the C5 client due to....56K...Disconnects or other reasons. Send them an in-game mail so that when they do login there is a system message that says "You have new messages" or something like that...
Make yourself availible that way if they do ask for you to return the items you can. As for now keep the items and level up save cash and be ready if they pop up asking for you to return the weapon.
just leave, clans at that level rarely get anywhere anyway.
lol
They are probably downloading Chronicle 5. I would give it a few days and if they aren't on, send an in-game mail and leave clan. They could always re-invite later on.
Black Spiral on Hinde you say? yeah i know them, just sit tight and be patient, lol, you'll get in there :) i'm still downloading c5... for the second time, the first zipfile i got from fileplanet was corrupted... so it might just be that it takes time for them to get back into game, patience, hehe
Somewhat off-topic, but wanted to mention that I've had this problem with Fileplanet files quite a few times when trying to open the zip file with some 3rd party software (Winrar in my case). Even though Winrar says it's corrupted, when using the Fileplanet download manager to unzip the file there is not a problem. Perhaps the Fileplanet download manager is able to fix the corrupted parts as it unzips or perhaps it's some kind of propietary zipping up process that Winrar doesn't recognize.
Anyway--I now return you to your regularly scheduled program (just wanted to throw that out there if you are not too far into the re-downloading process).
Ahh ****e!! thanks a ton for the info though, lol. I already deleted the file and went to re-download it (was using winrar by default and an old version at that) its the first time i'm using fileplanet so i had no idea that the program could unzip the **** thing itself, lol, i'll do that tomorow when the file is on my puter... again, lol. Schuweet!
Oh my!
You're the one shouting all day long in Dion for this clan!
Well, not my intention to be mean, but I'd think they just tried to buy you with these gifts. To be rich enough to give these several millions to someone they don't know, they're either old players who got nicely rich, or else... I let you guess.
Anyhow it was actually generous.
Now I'd suggest you don't focus too much on that. Think more about the kind of clan you're looking for (you can even pay a look at mine in my sig) and if you feel not comfortable with having these gears without joining their clan, just give it back!

Giving people gifts in order to get them to join their academy and give them reputation points by completing class change quests is not odd.. I know some clans that are levelling alts in academy for the reputation points.
I joined a clan once at lvl 20 or so that gave me gifts like that to 'use'. +7 glaive, full brig, full elven--all +3.
Later I found out there were an alt clan whose leader was serving in the army.
For some months I just leveled...over time clan broke up more and more. A couple times other players from clan asked if I would turn over the stuff to them--I told them I really felt I should give it only to the person who gave it to me.
Eventually I saw the exact same character who had given me the gear (probably 4 months later).
I never sold it because i never considered it mine--I returned it much to her surprise!
I'd say she was very appreciative (probably more so since the glaive alone was worth about 12 million when I returned it!).
Treat others well in-game. I generally works out.
