Use of Fear as a griefing tool?

This idea came from "nerrfed sleep" thread, but I guess I just discovered America and somebody was using it long time ago:
Is it possible to grief automated parties using fear? For example: you see automated party running in one spot of BS. You cast Fear on mob they started hitting, the mob runs away to other mobs or group of mobs (yay bats!). Automated party right after him. Do you think it would work that way?
yup it does
but i found if the mob runs too far they just give up
particualrly useful if a "party" is lvling near a cliff
If it works, you could try slow->fear. But I'm not so sure.

Some people have taken time to practice with fear for some very interesting effects. :D
It can work but it's not so easy to make it work well. Or maybe it was because I really don't land Fear often with my OL

It's OK, I just need them to run a bit, straight into some other aggro mobs or aggro group :D
That would be fun to do in a necro or cata.
One of the best places to use that is the area between Devistated Castle and Disciples Necropolis. Everything is aggro there so it allows for some nice drops.
I've been using that on my OL for AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES.

Trick is to wait till they go to spoil then use fear, guide the mob by moving to different sides behind it (it moves directly away from you, so if you run a little right it goes left and so on). some "players" were taking my spot in anghel waterfall once, feared the mob off the cliff.... players followed :). works nicely in DV too, just remember to keep it feared or it comes back too soon.
i used it alot, to keep my spots clean.
fear isnt "very succesful", word of fear from prophets works same way.
best is to have a cliff with water close, cuz they drop :)
just stand in the opposite direction where u wanna send the mob...

Sweet!

It's hard in necros and catas, because they tend to keep the rooms clean. Not many mobs to get additional aggro from.

But fear is a fun toy :) I've used it up in dwarven Elmore. I got a few of them to run after the mob into the water ^^ was tons of fun :)
