I was told that C5 was a better product to solo with and what I am finding out, is that is a BOLD FACE LIE!
Why is it that while using duels, my attacks both magical and strike skills miss aprox 80 percent of the time on mobs even YELLOW to my char??
NOT to mention that the SLEEP power takes so long to cast that I am usualy DEAD before it gets cast to the mob.
Is this the final or is tweaking going to happen cause I will Be ****ED if I pay another GD dime for something I can not play?

1) youre a healer. use your duels with guidance, health, or focus.

2) youre a healer. dont be a hero. take blue mobs. theyre faste to kill.

3) youre a healer. physician heal thyself. if youre gonna play the role of a solo character, you better prepare for major damage dealing disappoinments.

4) youre a healer. HEAL ****IT. dont solo.
May be you use duals out of your's grade, or the mob got high evasion? I dont have any problems hitting with my twohander..
I am not a healer, I am a BUFFER
thats a big difference

are you even set up properly? whats your equipment, your class, and your playstyle? how do you try to fight?
I changed nothing after the chrono upgrade, Sages rags with rip gauntlets, boots of power, Helmet, and elven jewels.
Duels are Bastard\Elven Duels that I have been using since I created this character.
As far as fighting style, I use a mixture of magic attacks and up close swing and lately miss.
Nothing has changed except the hitting ratio.
And as a point, I am in Field of Silence\Whisper doing the exact same mobs as before the upgrade.

then you need to find easier mobs.

i would say tho u are making 2 mistakes : first, youre wearing robes. get light armor or heavy armor if youre a prophet. if youre only a little cleric (like i think you are) you should stop now, consider rerolling. secondly youre still taking on yellow mobs. not *generally* a good idea. as i said, find easier mobs. go to eg and disrupt undead as your pre-emptive attack.

prophets get heavy armor masteries. use that to your advantage and find a good heavy set. *hint* one with shield defence.

also it has already been said by many battle prophets that the fastest solo you will get will come with the fastest attack speed.

for that use a dagger. one with guidance, focus, or even mana up will help you tremendously in dealing damage.

again D grade soloing isnt a lot of easy. its a whole lot harder than levelling solo in C grade.

Its very clear you do not play a mystic and wonder if all the healing\buffers give up these characters because of the changes, how loud are YOU going to start crying because you can not get buffs nor heals from us.
and about the damage thing, I have been squishy since the begining of this character, why should I acept being even more SQUISHY in C5.
Mystic healers and buffers were not top in C4, NUKERS and NECROS were.
Spud, I have been doing FINE up till this point. I could take on a light red mob with the chance of winning and leveling, I am not about to resort to leveling on blue mobs, this is hard enough leveling the way it was. and NO if you read, it says D grade, not NG grade. my char is level 32. a BUFFER not a little mystic. the Mystic is in FOW right now in Gustin, come on down and take a look instead of trying to call me a noob politely.
dude, lighten up. you have only now gotten around to posting your level and more accurately your class.

this isnt wow. you dont get 1 lvl per mob. it literally takes THOUSANDS of mobs to level.

number 1 i do play a healer. i play 2 healers. i box them both. that means they get piggyback levels from me.

number 2 i know what i am talking about. i do NOT know what you are talking about. where did i say you were NG? where (more accurately) did YOU say you were NG?

number 3 i told you to NOT be squishy ... what part of "wear heavy armor past lvl 40" dont you get?

number 4 WHERE THE HIGH FRIGGING H-E-DOUBLE-TOOTHPICKS DID I SAY YOU WERE TOP OF C4

ugh, tool of the day.
Mana up daggers are worthless for DDs, they're mage weapons and don't have the PAtk to support meleeing.

Hang0, your magic is failing because you're getting too high level - duals shouldn't have been patched at all, although maybe they were. In either case, stop using windstrike and start using melee attacks.

While you don't have guidance and deathwhisper, thrash the 107's (they suck) and get a Claymore.

A soloing healer taking on yellow and pink mobs is dumb, not awesome. Stick to your forte, go for green mobs - faster, safer exp and more money.

And since I'm not polite: Nub. Learn to play your build, and don't get pantsy on someone who's giving you good advice.

woot for once in my life i am useful :) ty maline i will take that as a compliment.

YES!

I keep seeing players trying to take on yellow and red mobs and it takes much too long so they waste so much time and money.

Green mobs... way to go. Also, the op might not realize that they took out the penalty to killing green mobs, so same xp as white and same drops.
*opens eyes widely* I did not read that! Leveling got just got a whole lot easier! Green ftw!
Spud I am not trying to take out anger on you, I am getting frustrated as I have changed nothing and in the process, I can not level this way, why pay for something when it is obvious that it can not be leveled in a month of sundays.
as far as 3 goes, I am not 40 and to put heavy (or even light) armor on a mystic, you are adding weight and you can not carry enough Shots to go more than just a few minutes of grinding. then back to town for more and to dump what crafting supplies so where is the benifits in that?
Now on to 4. UMMMM HAHAHAA reread the posts, I didnt say YOU did, that was a message in a thread ABOVE yours!
Buffers are much better for grouping then soloing. Find a Scavi and make them be your Damage, you just buff and attack every now and then. Don't even use SS. (You can even heal too!)(And make sure to put it by turn including spoil)
than soloing*
None of you folks get it, No One got the question at all, I HAVE DONE FINE WITH RED MOBS IN THE PAST and NO it did NOT take to long, I was ABLE TO HIT THE DARN THING AND KILL IT! AND NO I AM NOT THE NOOB.
I accept comments that help but I know what the limitations of this character was, I PLAYED THE DARN THING.
I know what I put on it, I know what mobs to go after and what to leave alone.
The old saying goes, if you CANT say something POSITIVE...
Well some of these posts I have learned from but honestly, I am NOT a Level 40 so the help wont matter UNTIL I GET THERE
He is not soloing he is with me i am a dwarf fighter and he is not helping much when his Magic misses and his duels DONT HIT FOR nothing by the time he hits the mob it is doa....
Thanks Citara, I guess I will have to go that route if I want to level

it has been said 4 times to you already.

hunt green mobs or play with someone else in your party.

if youre unwilling to do that, you will not get to 40.
As Pumba said "You gotta put your behind in the past."
Or as Tamoan said "You gotta put past behind ya." (Not sure on the spelling of their names... sounds good enough)

wow! friend, can you read?
Seriously.
YOU CAN'T KILL RED MOBS ANY....MORE.

What i mean by that is....
YOU CAN'T KILL RED MOBS ANYMORE.

It might be a good idea to try LOWER mobs.

How about, I don't know, GREEN ONES?

It seems you're in moderate D-grade. That suggests 30 something as your level. For the LOVE OF GOD go to orc barracks--or Wastelands--or anywhere else you can find mobs that are GREEN (that's GREEN) to you.
BTW, near wastelands/ants nest is ant incubator, when little sllugs turn into ants, then warriors, then fly-y thingys you get like 12k exp for them. The are white to level 34.
These yellow/light red mobs that you are hunting now and having trouble with, are they the same ones you were killing with ease in C4?
As you level up mobs become harder compared to mobs that were same colour to you when you were lower level.
Some mobs got boosted. You learned your magic at level 14, it's expected that it would fail sooner or later - just go for some undead mobs, you do extra damage on them anyway.

I've played a melee cleric of level 32 and 36 also (she was leeching off an ES in the meantime), and all I can tell you is that you should not have been going for yellow or red mobs in the first place - consider this an opportunity to find a spot which will give you considerably better EXP.
Aye. My alt is a lvl 30 Human Wizard very handsomly geared.

My Wind Strike fails now more and more. I hunt White mobs.

If my nuker's Wind Strike is failing, I'd really hate to see what the failure rates would be for a Support class such as yourself. And before you say I'm doing something stupid or geared wrong, my Nuker is using a +10 SoL, Full Elven Mithril robes and D-Bsps.

Point of my post is, you're a Support class Not a Nuker. So Play like one. Either go the Battle Prophet Way, or start grouping. Cause quite frankly, relying on a spell that you haven't upgraded since lvl 15 is well, a bad idea.
14. :D

Anyway, you'll find you suddenly level a lot faster if you go to a spot like Forgotten Temple (fire side entrance is excellent as long as you can keep it cleared - root, don't sleep!) or the ant's nest.
What server are you on? Please tell.
I started reading this post and skipped about half of it. Playing a buffer class can be difficult soloing. If you plan on soloing all the way to 75+, plan on many more years of play time. I have played my "buffer for 74 levels and have always found the biggest gain while in parties. I do solo from time to time when I shout Prophet LFG and no replies come. I learn what I can solo effectively, although boring and slow. Recalling my cleric days - maybe 1-1/2 years ago - I relied mostly on the disrupt undead skill and spent many hours in Dragon Valley and Execution Grounds killing anything undead. The windstrike skill and ice bolt pretty much suck at that level.

C5 has made it a little easier for me to solo. I can fully buff level 74 buffs and solo on mobs. I found that the mobs that now drop the HP and Mana "pots" are most beneficial to me. They quickly restore my health and mana. Unfortunately for you, you don't have heavy armor masteries yet so you are going to take more of a beating. I have never been effective killing Yellow, pink or red mobs. I mostly focus on green and white mobs even today.

Perhaps the question needs to be "Do you prefer to solo or party?" If you prefer to solo, I would suggest to reroll if you want to see some progress. If you prefer to party, good luck on "Buffer LFG" and hope someone who is 2 boxing will let you join their party.

Good Luck!!!!
