seeding, acumen, and empower

Ok so seeding is now considered casting a spell. Heck when it gets interrupted it says "casting has been interrupted". This is cancel through normal hits and not through stun or sleep. So the question is this. Will acumen speed up seeding and will empower increase the success?

I'm not in a position to test these so maybe someone can do it.
Hmm... good question. I've never had my seeding interrupted, and it always takes about a half second to seed... My thought is that it's more like a skill or a scroll. If Acumen and Empower help scrolls and skills... than they might help seeding. Not sure... sorry
It seems to be a C5 thing because I don't remember ever being interrupted while seeding during C4. Hopefully this thread will open some discussion.
well as i knew it atack speed used to effect seeding time
alot of ppl i knew said that acumen speeded up harvesting time ( i think it was haste)

and seeding being breakable is a pretty bad change
seeding is something you do while soloing and at 70+ its pretty hard to find a mob that isnt agro
Yeah it was aggro mobs that kept breaking my seeding. Worst part is losing the seed when it gets broken. I posted this as a bug in the C5 section but I'm not sure if they intended this or not since there was never a chance to test it during PTS.
I haven't had any seeds interrupted in C5... and I've still been hit while seeding. I also seed when grouped...am I not supposed to that ?
I'm gonna steal your luck and you can have mine (for seeding only).

most ppl dont like you seeding in party because they dont get drops

breaking of seeding isnt such a big deal most of the time since you make like 10x your adena back
but their are seeds where i would actually lose money if i got too many breakages
one more question bout seeding...
are the town limits changed?
what i mean is, i bought some seeds from gludio and went to Necropolis of Devotion (former Ascetics) and i get the message "this seed could not be shown here". in C4 i could use them in the same place. any ideas what might happened, or someone else noticed a similar situation?
It definitely used to be influenced by haste and attack speed - precisely six standard swings between each attempt to seed except the first (which sometimes involved a stutter step up to the mob, making it five swings sometimes), bows being excempt from this due to the reuse delay. Tested with alacrity and greater swift attack potions, daggers, swords, two-handers, duals (yes, I equipped 107's ... ew!), a dwarf, an elven fighter, a dark elven fighter and two elven mystics. Six swings.

I don't know if they changed it, but if they did that's pretty bloody stupid. I'll be having to use the oracle's seed macro and actually stay on that screen until he's back on AF. Grr.
one question regard seed if i have on me 3 diferit seed fire.wind.water can i cast 19 min elemental symphony ?
That's something else altogether from what we're talking about. xD
Astetics has ALWAYS been in the dark elf newbie area. which is in oren township, as is the light elf newbie area.
i got my seeding interrupted too, its definately a new change. this does not mean that its effected by WIT though. all you have to do to test it is to try the speed without any pots, then with a magic haste pot, then with a haste pot. it should be a noticable difference. ill try it in a bit.
After further testing seeding is NOT spell related. I got myself silenced and then went seeding. It still worked. I think it's just a poor choice of words.

Instead of saying "Casting has been interrupted" it should say "Seeding has been interrupted." That would clear up the confusion.
Or, just make it stop! God, it's annoying.
test complete. haste does not effect the speed, magic haste does not, swift attack pot does not, acumen does not.
