Guys...seriously, take a deep breath and calm down about the bots.
Report the trains of 8 people all moving together...report the people standing and sitting and standing and sitting as they get beat to death by a mob they could 1 shot.
But stop this garbage about how "terrible" the bot population is.
There are a lot of PEOPLE in the starter areas. It's a brand new server...and consider the fact that if you were a LIVE PERSON in the starter areas there might be a few other LIVE PEOPLE in the starter areas as well.
This bot thing is the most common topic on every general shout channel in every area I've been to, and it's getting tiring. I've had countless people run up to me and say, "Are you a bot?"
Not "hello!" or even "Get the [CENSORED] out of my hunting space!" but "Are you a Bot?"
It's the first question...whether I'm fighting mobs or just sitting on the ground medding. I never have and never will name my characters anything with a number or something that's just gibberish, so why it that the first thing we hear?
The reason is that we are taking the "bot thing" WAY too far. I don't want to be on a server where success instantly means you cheat, but that's what it's becoming.
"Your at 20 already? -_-in bot"
"I saw a guy in brig already!" -response- "yea, a ton of ebayers on this server man =/"
"fuggin bots everywhere I can even find a spore till they all dead already" (this one from a DE with a sword and surrounded by nukers)
"I saw a guy with a demon fang already =/ bots are gonna ruin this server too T.T"
These are all direct quotes, spelling errors and all, that I saw just yesterday. Yesterday being the 3rd day the server has been online.
With Regard to Stupid Remark #1 - Why can't a guy be level 20? Are you kidding? They gave you all the gear you need to do it in 10-12 hours or so.
With Regard to Stupid Remark #2 - Brig? If I had any need of heavy armor I could afford a brig top and bottom...I'm happy with my devo and a better weapon...but I could afford it if I wanted it. I'm sure there is bound to be a few other people who can as well.
With Regard to Stupid Remark #3 - No kidding you aren't picking up spores...you're a melee class that's competing for a very few spawns with a large number of people who can one-two shot those same mobs.
With Regard to Stupid Remark #4 - Demon fangs are pretty pricey...I can't afford one..but I know beyond a doubt that there are people that have played a lot longer than me over the last week, and if you pooled some income (one of my buddies is going EE and is pooling his funds with mine to help get us a better weapon, since he doesn't need one particularly) it's not an impossible buy. Above and beyond that there are RB's that drop them...I've not been on a raid yet, but I know there have been a few. Why can't this guy have gotten one that way?
I'm not saying that some or maybe even all of the accused people in the above instances aren't the most evil, sadistic, baby punting bunch of hackers and botters the world has ever known...but I doubt that's the case.
My point, new found members of this fine server, is that we need to be VERY careful with our new home...we need to nurture it and help it grow...something we will fail at if we report everybody that irritates us for being a bot...we'll lose plenty of real players that way. Not all from bans either. Some people will just get tired of all the ramblings in the general chat, and assume, because we're all complaining so much, that Lineage2 is a miserable game to play and they'll quit.
The less people we have means the less fun castle sieges and raids and PvP and events and everything else will be.
AGAIN. DON'T STOP REPORTING BOT TRAINS!
That's not what I'm saying.
But PLEASE be a little more considerate of the people in the community, and excercise a little common sense before you blather on about how this or that person MUST cheat since they have something you don't, or do something you wouldn't do.
