Despite some quest mob KSers I've found most people to be quite friendly. There also appear to be less people that speak only russian, which is nice :)
Outside Gludio is so automated it turned my toaster on and made me breakfast. Otherwise the people are nice. Im already into the double figures with PvP scores :P nice to know this server isnt carebear even if they always lose :)
Nice so far. Except that the dudes who claim others are carebears are lvl 20+ themselves and go to Talking Island to kill level 10s. Then they complain about zerg if we gather 2-3 people to kill them. Ahaha. The usual aggression outside TI village, I'd say ;)
When the server first launched, I noticed A LOT of bots. I remember login in for the first time and seeing MASSIVE bot trains. I'm new to MMOs, but I've been online gaming for awhile in games like CS, Starcraft/Warcraft. So it took me awhile to understand this whole botting/virtual item economy that goes on in these types of games. But lately I'm seeing less bots, I guess there was a server wide banning. Anyhow, with less bots I've met a few cool people so far. I live in the USA and its nice to meet people from other parts of the world. Thumbs up so far.
thought there was gonna be alot ,ore pvp around noob towns at the start, but not many people dared to flag first, think not to rik getting a Pk. Atleast around elven village, thin it was abit better at talkin island tho.
Other than in Arena, you probably wont see much pvp before 25 or so. I dont see many people willing to risk losing their newbie weapon on an accidental pk.

no no ... they're just outleveling you.. and everyone.
it may sounds good for you since you won't meet them again in a near future... but watch out for raid bosses.
In some ways (bot, economy, ebayers, leaders clan corrupted), Franz will be worse (by far) than any other server, even teon.
don't know yet if i go back to kain or just leave the game...
I agree with Assez that franz will have a hard time to control bots in the future as there going straight for the money with raid boss farming. Just gonna have our hands full later on.
So far i met alot of nice ppl they even stop by and give me stuff while im out hunting (antidotes & minor heals) always welcome ty. Some have try to help my red wash off but it was too far gone and i was too tired that day, But id say we have a good community and chat is also nice nobody has been making much rude comments so it appears we have a more adult community. :)

yes because bartz dont have bots, a messed up econ, ebayers or corrupt clan lkeaders right ? :P its just more clear now then it was when the game first launched. offcourse it looks worse now then it did back then

this is one of the few games that punish you for your actions (to an extent^)
floran is a safe haven for pks/reds since its the only guardless town with npcs u can safely use
there is reasoning behind the whole floran town thing
My immediate response is that so far Franz is a mixed bag. I started off with a dwarf not only because I really like playing scavengers, but becasue I need to horde cash and mats fast. This meant I spent a lot of my first days fighting for mobs, and trying to avoid kill stealing trains and toons. (Heavy Sigh). However, after the hurricane of confusion passed, I started really having fun. A couple of days ago I met an nice player from Moscow, Russia. We partied and chatted as much as his translation program would let us have a coherent conversation. It was one of the more pleasant evenings in an otherwise frantic week! Last night, I started the prequesite buffer on my second account and found Talking Island quite pleasant. People were chatting, laughing, and generally having fun! They were willing to give advice and help. So far, so good. I think this commuity is shaping up nicely. Mind you, there will always be greifers, trains, bots, and general unpleasantness associated with large groups of people from diverse backgrounds and conflicting motivations, but so far the good outweighs the bad. Hopefully this will continue.

I think the server is starting out great, it immediately reminded me of when I first started in Hindesmith and the started towns were packed. Other then having to compete for mobs with bots everybody is progressing nicely. When the NPC server when down a lot of people started chatting and it was a lot easier to distinguish the bots from the real people and that’s always good to know.
When I first started lvlng it was hard because of the "ksrs" but now that has slow down. Every now and then one comes accross but I cant do much because as soon as I hit them they force log.
I have come accross some good ppl thou. PPl that didnt have to help me when getting pounded by 3-4 Langk Lizardman but they did.[again ty] Also to those who replied to my ongoing questions ty. ;)
I keep forgettingabout that feature :mad:[quest map]. Its hard because I played since prelude and yet not accostume to that.[LMAO] Old habits die hard. :confused:

I'm impressed myself of how many really active people there are. Lots of people leveling hard even tough everyone is broke haha. So good job to all and lets have fun playing our favorite game :)
Actually I think the start has been okay as well.
I waited about 4 days before trying a new toon so it was calmed down a bit I believe.
It's been great to see players working in starter areas. It's been fun chatting with others for a change while leveling a low toon!
At the end of the day this server will look exactly like all others.
I think it will be a few weeks before the nastiness arrives in full force though (I don't consider bots as nastiness--I consider the players who buy adena from outside of the game as the CAUSE of bots and see THEM as the ugly part of L2).
Until you start seeing those I call the "uber--cheaters" the server will be a lot of fun imo.
So far it's been great!
The only time i was envolved in pvp was because one guy kept leaving gold around on the floor, so i just pick it up seeing as he could have picked it up right after it dropped. Then he got a dwarf to help him gank me, after killing the dwarf i had then tried to kill the guy who started it when a random person poped out of nowhere and started to attack the closest purple (me) .. L - L - LAME!
But i'm quite surprised i survied that long with only bronze armor (at that time)
