Here's a little more detail on the 'true' cost for the rewards...I went and did all the formulas (assuming lowest temp) just so I could see what was 'worthwhile' and what wasn't a few chronicles ago. I have something like it for the Coin of Magic quest as well, but it's not quite to text friendly being a XLS sheet(s).
As you can see however, a large portion of the rewards are just not worthwhile considering how many base materials it takes for each one. (Normal rez scrolls?!) The full B gloves and boots are what I would consider the 'best deals'.
