Is it worth moving out of catas?

I have been soloing catas 90% with my TH. the other 10% I have duoed with a BD. the best xp I ever had.
Atm im still in medusa rooms in apostate, and in a lvl or 2 I will have to move (mobs getting blue) I guess I could stay cuz xp would still be ok, but I dont realy like killing blue mobs. I want drops as well :)
so, where to go after that? I dont have very much experiance with field grinding, and moving to witches will be to hard (solo) and I cannot wait for my BD friends to loggon every time I wanna xp. Is field grinding realy that terrible as I have experianced? bad drops, slow xp, no seal stones :(
i have played some around dev castle and FG but i cant realy say I like it. there gotta be better places..is VoS any good? and are there any GOOD quests worth doing out there?
(dont tell me Toi, cuz thats very VERY slow xp) im used to ~15% / h. and I will do no less then 10% / h. :/
and yea, this is for solo purpose only (got SE+PP buffs)

TH with boxes? Hm, I would say try some of the new areas like Frozen labyrinth. New C5 SBs drop there which you can sell for some insane money until market saturates. There are dagger vulnerable mobs there. Also a quest, lookie around boards for more information.
Doom creatures and stuff around DC are nice too, they just stun a lot. They now drop coins, and there is quest for A grade jewelry parts or recipes on them. They also drop some interresting recipes (lance i.e.) and me and friends got like 4 full drops there, BW and doom armours.
Giants cave may be also interresting, also quest for A stuff is there.

Being you, I would open up a map, point a cursor saying "I want to try it here, then here, and then there" and then choose optimum place.

I know its not a solo game, but I prefer soloing as long as I can for faster xp. I party in Toi sometimes when Im boored.

and why would TH not fit for solo? I dont se any other class that could do it much better then me. soloing 1 big and 1 small medusa room for extrem fast xp. so other classes does this better?

well...boxes..I mostly just buff up then I usualy hunt alone, in catas I dont need heals and stuff. maybe I will need it on the fields? :/
hmm yea I would actualy travel and explore the new areas if the teleportation costs dident ruin me if I did :/ im not poor, but I just dont like spending to much money on teleportations..I cry a tear everytime I have to teleport from oren to aden lol :( but I guess ill give FG and DC a 2nd chanse.

Teleportations? There are event kitties until like half of September.
Plus ... if you want to search for new places to hunt, why teleport? Walk, explore, see, kill. Maybe you will find that those pesky dragons outside GC give you better XP/time than actual GC mobs. You never know.

Real solo? Any summoner.

Boxed solo? Any nuker, and quite possibly a polearm class if the box is an SE with VR 3.

when I group I get about 20-40% XP of what I get when I solo (with outside SE+PP buffs)
you cant be serious about only summoners, nukers and polers can solo(or box).....

If you are thinking about wasting to much SS, I get a lot of money soloing tbh. drops in catas isent bad. the money drops are about what my *** costs. mats, key mats and sealstones/blank scrolls are 100% profit.

Crawlerin, yea..dident realy think I was able to run up there..will take a feew hours to run all the way I guess lol, but maybe its worth it :)

boxing aint soloing really :p imo EVERY class can solo boxed atleast a little with the right buffer. but i doubt you cant find any green mobs in a cata anywhere

MalineII says it all, if you didn't understand that C5 is all about group effort by now...then you are in for big trouble.

I get bored solo, I don't get bored in group, to hell with the xp, I have much more fun in group.

Toi groups are usualy bad. me in low 60's and 8 ppl in high 60's and 70's. no wonder I get crappy xp.(angels on floor 9 usualy gives 7-8k xp) once Im higher I will get better xp there as well. for now, Im soloing untill I get boored, or duo if any friends are on, then go to Toi for some crappy xp.

Have you considered finding a group your own level?

Orka was saying just to stay in catacombs on green mobs if you have buffs, and I'll agree.

Isn't it clear by now that he intends to solo? Instead of pushing him to play the game the way you prefer let him play the game the way he prefers.

and you get like 10-12k xp per mob...its all you need and will get you pretty far if everyone knows their char and the playstyle of the others.

MalineII, doesent mather if I find a group of my own level. xp will still be less then solo/duo, and drops..well, there are nothing called drops in big groups.
but yea, maybe Ill try a lower lvl Toi group when I group, but I dont realy know how to find one of those groups. :/ I have never seen anyone shout for one. and my clan is a small clan, and all groups they do are AOE groups...a TH doesent realy fit in there. ofc im allowed to join them, but im just feeling stupid when I do.

A small group your own level (the perfect setup is obviously SwS/BD/WC/you) will outperform a duo with ease, except if it's a duo with outside buffs - then enter another dagger instead.

To find a group, start meeting people. There's not really a step-by-step instruction for it.

best way to group is find another of exactly the class you are
1 dwarf. gimp
2 dwarves. not quite as gimp :P

you get like a 50% xp bonus is a duo so really all the other guy needs to do is half you damage for the same xp

Duo with a tank should be good exp too

yes, I usualy duo with a BD, insane fast killing speed :) and yes again, I have outside buffs (both SE and PP)
