According to the website when ever you defend / hold a castle during Siege you should get clan rep points. Last Saturday our clan succesfully defended the Castle but we did not get any clan rep points except the points that came from pvp. Our clan does not own the Castle, our Ally does. Our clan was registered and approved to defend the Castle.

Can someone tell me why we did not get any rep points?
Only the castle owning clan will recieve rep points for successfully defending the castle. Not the other clans in the alliance. Obviously you can understand how it could be exploited if all defending clans recieved rep points just by signing up to defend.
Yes, only the clan which holds and defends a castle gains reputation points. Just like only the defending clan who loses a castle loses points, and only the attacking clan which successfully gets the castle gains some. Other clans which are signed up get nothing except for points for killing people they are at war with.
