How is Franz doing? Perspective?

I am asking few questions about Franz, because I am a bit afraid of it's launch, future, and so.

When I check server list, it says "Light" most of the day, I would say always, because when I left home it was Euro primetime and server was still light.

Maybe it is just me, but I am bit afraid this server - although much much wanted - is a bit fiasko. Do not get me wrong, not because it was not requested and needed or so - but I got a feeling too little people play on it. Will it crystalize after some time, like Teon did finally as people moved there and newbies start there. Or will this server be pretty abandoned with few rigid original clans fighting their way to survive there? Worst case they move "back" to US servers ...

I mean LIVE people playing there. When I log in, it's like 90%/10% and worse of players and "you know who". Very scary. Is it just because it is start, and "you know who" are just concentrated on one place instead of spread all around levels and worlds?

I cross fingers for this server, as it was really needed and I was toyng with idea of getting there, but what I saw after first login scared me and brought some dark ideas about this server. While logging back to "my" server, full of drama, wrong timezone, accused of farmed cheated botted then forumflamed etc... classic server soap opera.

Please tell me it is just me and my feelings, but I feel kinda sad :(

I'm having a good time. I see lots of people, but I guess that's partially because everyone is in the same level range. But I'm having fun.

im sure it seems like the end of the world now but they are there in the event someone wants them there

~5% real players .. rest is ... hmmmm Mistryl will delete it ...

but having fun with few people that "play" the toons :)

its only bit scaring when u beated in pvp in ur 20's from 40 + after 2 days :p

but IM SURE the GM's ban em all that we can play on a nice server with a ping of 10 ...

btw , the most lowbie quests suxx... quest mobs crowded with peps and non peps ;)

My original intention was to spend a few weeks on Franz.. just to take some time off hinde.

However. I wanted to play a WarSmith. I can't get to level 3 without getting a pk......... The auto players there aren't the nice polite kind, they're the rude kind that attack no matter who else holds the target or was already attacking it. I get mad after a few times, and they die. Then I have a pk, and down the drains for my little adventurer weapon hopes... I'll stay on hinde..

true ... its very very hard to not PK every 2 minutes ...

its why Im lvling an alt fighter. keep my noob weapon on my main, considering going permred on my alt.

Well, I'm having fun so far. :D I agree there are too many players living up to the worst side of online gaming, but any would still be too many. I have run into way more whole people than hollow and I expect this trend to continue.

I expect more players on the server once there are a number of seized castles and large clans to sponser new players with this academy system I'm still trying to figure out. :p

franz is a lineage 2 server - just like every other lineage 2 server. it is what you make of it.

IMO, some people are not up to starting on a new server and some of those people will point to things such as on abundance of bots ^^ farmers here are actually not as bad as other servers that I have played on. All in all I'm glad to be a part of Franz -

carebear server. not gonna be any pvp there till eveyrone is 78.

I kinda like the server because a lot of uh...ermm...well you know are there now instead of the old servers. So it helps out with RB and hunting areas on the older servers. :D

hehe, yesterday I made a dark mystic and started on a PK rampage on those "you know who players".
Before I got to lvl3 I had a PK count of 8 and was teleported to floran, because a pixie killed me.

Today I'll going to delete that char and then make another DE mystic and then kill some dman ********... hopefull I can get a PK count up to 10+ before I'm teleported to Floran :)
and then tomorrow.... I repeat the whole proces.... and in 5 days my first PK char is deletes and I start all over :)
Btw the 8 PK I made was within 30-45 minutes :)

Last I saw, franz was going down the pan.

Not only are the bots ruining it, so are the players. I created a red to get rid of some bots, to allow other people some room to hunt. All I got were regular players going "OMG REDZ IN NOOB AREAZ!!11!" and a bunch of idiots stabbing me in the back.

They want rid of the bots, but when a red comes and does it, they kill him, talk about morons.

yep, exactly my experiences, but I continued killing those **** bots over and over again :)

Franz is no different than other servers--just a lighter version of it.
Most real players are pretty cool and there are even a few honest to god brand new players who are new to L2 (which I think is fun).

Aggressive unmanned toons. Prices cheap on resales. Competition is ridiculous in some low areas (which is funny)--keltirs! (haha) Surprisingly empty in most areas though.
First folks who found outside means for adena clearly present now (seriously too bad).

All in all, it was a fun 3-4 days (de lvl 15, dwarf 6) but now it's back to the old grind.
