doing scavvy quest, was wondering how often he teleports. asking this to know if its better to stay in one of the places and wait for him or go looking in the other?
lol toma is such a pain in the butt. Not to mention there are 3 parts that you have to go find him for the lvl 20 and 40 class changes. Seems to be around every 20-30 mins.
Either.. he doesn't shout out his existence like Mammon does, but if you go to the bottom of the abandoned mines, you can hunt mobs there while you wait for him.
You have time tho, if you want to run around and look for him.

what i done the first time
keep in mind he randomly teleports and i had to wait for 3 hours for him to show up
if you wanna find him fast
go to ac mines. not there? soe
go to mith mines. not there? soe
go to north shore. not there? soe
go to ac mines. hes prolly there
make sure to pack a few soes and greater haste is definately the better bet. port to nrth shore and run to the 3 locations
can anyone give me the proper location of the "north shore"? i know its some kind of small island, but i don't know what it looks like or what not. can someone like paint a little dot on the map where it is plz?
Please be aware that the location in the abandoned coal mines USED to be an empty area as in the screenshot, but no longer! There are aggro mobs there now, so be careful if you try to meet him there.
Toma teleports every 30 minutes, UNLESS he was talked to by someone. Then, occasionally, he sticks around a bit. Note that some folks have reported him teleporting mid-conversation, but I have never seen this. I have seen him no-show for over an hour tho.
Good luck with the Bountyhunter quest when you go for it :) It's a bit easier then the lvl 20 Scavenger quest but still very annoying. Abandoned Coal Mines (as posted before) is your best shot and passing your time xp'ing while waiting for him to spawn.
Melaquinn, when u DO find out how to kill Toma please PM me. No one in game deserves it more than that little snot.
One correction and one clarification. The actual room in Abandoned Coal Mines where that sneaky litte **** is located is down a short ramp and there are no aggro mobs at all there. The room before that (up the ramp from the large chamber) has skeletons and cats that aggro.
As for Northern coast location of toma--the island is shown on the map. If you start at bottom of map where the words "abandoned coal mine" are printed, go straight up from the "m" in the word mine, you will see a small island between two land masses. That is the island that he is on.
This is important because there are actually a couple locations along that coast that have similar looking little islands just off shore. The one you want is "straight up, just off the coast, from the letter "m" in the word mine". I believe it is a little triangular shaped one.

and, yes, for some reason I can't explain I started a dwarf on Franz last weekend (my 4th dwarf on the third server).
