In the remote chance you don't know about the Blacksmith of Mammon, information about the Seven Signs can be found HERE (http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/sevensigns.html).

Basically you need to sign up to DAWN in the Seven Signs at the relevant NPC in town (either a Priest or Priestess of Dawn) and choose to fight in the Seven Signs. Then choose to fight for the Seal of Gnosis, you will need to pay 50,000 adena (but I'm sure you have plenty spare). After the Competition Period is over you have 1 week to visit the Blacksmith and find out what else you need to get your SA.

The Blacksmith can be found in Catacombs, he teleports around randomly so it is best to shout out in the major towns to find where his is.

I hope all this is helpful and informative. Welcome to Lineage II

first sell that lvl 12 crystal.

second sell that SB.

next, buy a lvl 11 crys, then get a carnage and apply crt bleed.

next get like 3 EW/A and apply them to the bow.

now your ready for PvE, SB = crap...and CS on a SB is stupid..use a carnage or a BoP.

don't for get to buy arrows or craft them and don't forget to get A ss.
buy a recharger while youre at it.
LOL and while you're at it, buy a clue.

It's amazing how people just RIP on someone for not knowing something that, to them, is blatantly obvious. Once upon a time you didn't know the answer to these kind of questions yourselves. You either had to ask someone or look it up. Whether this guy bought his account or not...he asked a question...in the correct section of the forums and should have simply gotten an answer. He could have saved himself some embarrassment by trying to look it up first...but he didn't.

Out of the 15 various responses only 3 of them were actually helpful in some way. That's pretty sad. Especially when he said "please help" 3 seperate times POLITELY. I thought this was a place to ask a question and get help on it...not be ridiculed for asking. Sure...the fact he didn't know about the whole soul crystal thing was really odd/stupid...but I didn't either until I was level 53 or so on my spellhowler and I was trying to figure out a decent way to make money. I had to ask my clan because I didn't know a thing about soul crystals or how weapons got SAs put on them (until I looked it up online and saw what soul crystals went with what). I already had a +12 homu w/acumen and I had no idea how it came like that when I got it. I even had naive notions about how weapons got SAs put on them...but I didn't know and I made it a point to find out. Maybe this guy simply bought all his weapons pre-modified and never had to worry about doing it. Maybe it was never a priority on his list until he got a hold of a soul bow and suddenly had to figure out how. We don't know. He said it was a long story, but you jumped to a conclusion and assumed he bought his account, and just started digging in. Even if that's the case don't you think that's fairly screwed up just to assume? And to ridicule him for not knowing something is just...ridiculous!

Even if he was level 76...and said he didn't know where to buy arrows or SoEs or SoRs and asked...why not just tell him instead of being so amused and smug about it? Just give the answer or don't bother and move on.

I guess whomever sold you the account forgot to include the owners manual.

BTW...want to tell me what page in the little black Lineage 2 players manual it expounds upon the intricacies of adding a characteristic to a weapon? Even the nifty Prima beginner's guide that came with the collector's DVD edition of Lineage 2 says nothing about it. So...while someone who is A grade SHOULD know about how this stuff works...it's POSSIBLE someone wouldn't. For that reason alone...don't act superior.

I'm a gladiator ffs and even I know about SA's and soul crystals. Actually, I knew about them while I was still a warrior. It's amazing the knowledge you pick up when you actually play your toon up to A grade. The OP will never know that and deserves our derision. We don't really care for cheaters.
Is it cheating when he/she got or plays on account of his/her: wife, husband, son, daughter, father, mother?
Nope. If that's the case, there is someone in the house that could help him out. Chances are it didn't happen that way.

Oh, and when people say "it's a long story" it usually means "it's a simple story but I'm embarassed to repeat it."

Some people can be really rude & realize that it's none of there business why or how you got an AG bow. Anyways if you go to library & go to weapons, it should most likely tell you what stuff you need to enchant the bow ie.. what crystal & how many gemstones.
There are actually people out there who can go from 1-50 without ever putting an SA on a weapon. Good luck Mekora.

I first started playing Lineage 2 back in closed beta on the Kain server. Then, when it went open beta, and the servers lagged and the mobs were so slow in responding BECAUSE of the lag that they were mostly stationary helpless targets, I stopped playing until several months ago and joined up when Scions of Destiny was in effect. So...there were a LOT of things I had no clue on. Going from CB to C4 (Scions was 4...right?) was a huge jump. Hell...I didn't even have to check the map from inventory anymore! The first time I ever even saw a soul crystal was when I saw a few (level 0 ones) lying on the ground inside of giran and when I read the description I had no clue how they were used and what they were used for. This was probably when I was just a dark wizard. And I only found out the details of soul crystals, SAs, and how they all worked when I was level 53. Even I don't know how many gemstones of what are needed to put an ability on any given weapon...but I'll know to look that up when I need to know. Point is, though, that some people just learn...how shall we say...faster than others. I'm not saying this person isn't an "OP?" (which I'm guessing means someone who bought an account and went straight to the top rather than climbing the mountain) but MAYBE he really did play his toon and just never had a need to pick up on it (AKA ignorant). It may be an astronomical % of a chance...but there's still a chance. Then again I have been accused of seeing the glass partially full.

However I really do agree with you though...you DO pick up a lot of this info just playing, encountering something you don't know, and making it your business to know. And someone who, say, plays the game for a month and likes it but doesn't want to kill little stuff for a while would miss out on stuff like this when they jump directly from level 7 to level 70 on a purchased account. I'm not fond of cheaters myself. I just wish PlayNC shared our opinion on this and fixed a few things...but as long as they rake in money they don't care what people do with their characters...whether it's botting or selling them.

Nope. If that's the case, there is someone in the house that could help him out. Chances are it didn't happen that way.

I don't think you could put SA or even had SA back in Beta or up to C2 possibly. Someone can start an account play it for a few Chronicles & then come back to see an addition of chronicles added to the game. Theres a big difference if you haven't played this game from the very beginning, or if you just came in during C4-C5. :p

Btw who gave you the right to determine if this person who asked a simple question is a cheater or not?
OP = Original Poster.

See it how you want, half empty or half full. I don't particularly care to help those that "just show up" with top toons and top gear; having absolutely no idea of how to play. This will probably be the same person going out and "pwning" people and calling them "noobs" after doing so. I have no use nor patience for them.

It's not like someone asking about 7 signs or things that have come about later on. You can tell someone that is back from a break and someone that has never played before. Hell, I've had people in full a grade in giran ask where the warehouse is. I had one of they morons ask my AW for buffs. I don't feel sorry for them. I don't pity them. I despise and ridicule them whenever possible.

Wasn't just me. Besides, what do you care? You think (from a previous and unfortunately deleted post) that I'm a cheater as well.

You must be a very lonely person, who gets there joys from ridiculing other people for asking a simple question like this one, how sad, sometimes I guess you don't even need to meet the person, to know what kind of person they are in real life. I hope the shoe will never be on the other foot. :(

If I ask anything that stupid, I will expect, no demand, that I receive as much ridicule as possible. Personally, I don't give a **** what you think of me. I know how I play and what I've done for new players. I don't have to explain myself to the likes of you. I will continue to call a spade a spade with one hand and help new players on the other. Go feel sorry for someone else.

lol I don't feel sorry for you at all & that wasn't the intention of the post. Everyone is in right of there opinion, but I've just never thought people would jump to a quick conclusion of calling this guy a cheater from asking a question. If they are basing it on the question, WOW thats a big assumption. I guess some people feel the need to redicule someone to make them feel that much bigger in real life. lol :)

Hell...that reminds me...I still don't know anything about the seven signs. All I know is you have to sign up during the registration period with a dawn or dusk priest or you can't go in a cata or a necro and get the pretty R/G/B stones for the AA. :) For that matter it was only when I was trying to figure out what I needed to do to get my first tattoo, a week or os ago, that oh...the trader isn't in the catacombs...he's in the necropolises...during the...what do you call it? The reward phase? The victory phase? Where, as usual, the lords of dawn have won and only they can go into the various underground dungeons? Whatever it is. :p Anything beyond that...I still have no clue. Oh...and something about dimensional fragments...

Official (http://www.lineage2.com/news/chronicle3_02.html) notes on the 7 signs. It won't help...
Wow just when I though that this thread had died.

Anyways if you go to library & go to weapons, it should most likely tell you what stuff you need

Actually neither the Official (http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/item.html?category=weapons) site nor Stratics (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/library/sas/) list what else you need apart from the lvl 12 Red Soul Crystal. That's why there wasn't a quick answer to his question (pre-empting any complaints for this particular issue).

ridiculing other people for asking a simple question like this one

Its not the fact that he asked a question, its that he is (presumably) at least lvl 61, and not to know the details of putting a SA on his Soul Bow raises a few questions. He was the asked (quite legitimately) how he got to A grade without being aware of the details. Rather than respond, he simply asked again (politely I agree).

I still don't know anything about the seven signs

See my third post to Mekora, all the details you need are HERE (http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/sevensigns.html)

:ack beaten (**** OCD spellchecking)
Mame...with all due respect and for fear of embarrassing myself in admitting it...my SH is only level 55 at the moment...she's my main...my SE, right by her side at all times, is now only level 53. I found out about what this SA stuff was mostly about when I was level 53-54 on my SH. Granted...the difference between 53-54 and 61 is kind of vast, despite just being two different numbers that aren't that far apart, but if someone in my clan hadn't said I could make some decent money trying to level up soul crystals I might have very well made it to 61+ without knowing anything. I have a +12 homu w/acumen. I'm pretty well set for a while as far as weapons go...almost no reason for me to buy anything anytime soon (kind of why I paid so much for it to begin with...long lasting durability) so I would have no reason to look into it for possibly quite some time. And then, if I had asked a question at that same point in time when I was A grade and was wondering about putting an SA on...ummm...whatever weapon an SH should have in the A grade (if I didn't have what I already have) would I have been given the same treatment?

Sorry about not looking at that link to seven signs thing...I didn't think much of it and was focusing on the whole question thing rather then the seven signs itself. I'll have to crack that open after I've had some sleep.

Everyone one gets one sooner or later.
Well I can understand that someone could lvl all the way to A grade and beyond without knowing the details of SAs (or even being aware of them). But it is an unlikely event and that's why we where curious as to how the Mekora had achieved it.

As to your worry about receiving similar treatment, I'm sure that you would have explained the situation in a bit more detail, which would have allayed any queries as to your legitimacy.

The fact that Mekora had bought a Soul Bow and a lvl 12 crystal (not cheap items regardless of server) and then was asking questions as to the final part (and the arguably the easiest part of the whole process, as opposed to farming for parts/reciepes/adena etc), does make people think the worst (perhaps wrongly) of the situation. As I have said though, he was given ample time to explain (and even now, no-one is stopping him from posting his side) and resolve the situation.

I know I can be a bit hard to follow sometimes but I hope that makes sense.

I wasn't in a bad mood so I blame you.

Would "snippy" have been a better word? I dunno i was taking tests this morning, so I missed the whole thing :(

On the up side, my tests went well.

Actually Mekora never in his first post said he BOUGHT a soul bow, he said he GOT.. Thats why I said people were jumping to conclusions about him cheating.. when he didn't post openly saying I BOUGHT A SOUL BOW... please start flaming on me. No wonder some new players are worried about posting on these boards. lol :)

True story! I swear on my level 10 elven fighter's grave!
That's alright, I didn't know about SA until my original toon was 50-57.. they didn't have them then. :(

Well...now that you put it like that...I mean I have no idea what a soul bow or a level 12 crystal costs (I can only imagine if you have to kill a gecko like Antharas it's PROBABLY not that cheap...) but...hmmm...being able to afford that yet not knowing...yeah...I'd say it's suspicious...however asking a few more questions tactfully would have paved the path to full-blown flaming a lot more...smoothly...and probably with my blessing.
On Hinde atm, a level 12 crystal costs 75-90m, the soul bow is another cool 70m on top of that.

I believe it's referred to as "chunk of change." ^^

I think the flaming was probably had bad timing to it. Like I said if a couple more tactful questions had been asked then it might have become blatantly obvious and then everyone would have lit the torches and grabbed the pitchforks. However Mame has already made a very strong case at THIS point. Not everyone knew about his other post (I sure as hell didn't...only reason I saw this one is SAs piqued my interest not too long ago) or the dots would have been connected a bit more easily.

Actually Mekora never in his first post said he BOUGHT a soul bow, he said he GOT.. Thats why I said people were jumping to conclusions about him cheating.. when he didn't post openly saying I BOUGHT A SOUL BOW... please start flaming on me. No wonder some new players are worried about posting on these boards. lol :)

Actually this is from a previous post of Mekora

hi im am going to by majestic light, majestic jewls and a soul bow for my HE soon and i was thinking what will happen to the prices when c5 comes?

Thread HERE (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=692338&page=0&fpart=all& vc=1)

I would say it is fairly safe to say that he bought his Soul Bow.

Is it still fair for people to jump to conclusions from what someone said & ridicule them for it? We've already have 2 other people admit to not knowing about SA on weapons till there 50's at least.

I didn't know about his other post either. I still wouldn't flame someone asking a question. The flmaing was just bad in general, even after the person was still being polite & asking for help 3 times in a row.
Not taking sides or anything, just want to bring up another point that might help.

This Makera has no proven history on these boards, therefore his/her credibility is already in question until a proven history can be established.

right now on lionna a soulbow goes for 90m clean and more with enchantments. A level 12 crystal goes for upwards of 200m and more.

The rest of you who have posted on this site regulary have established credibility within this forum and are known for who you are. Therefore when you ask a question that the OP did, you aren't looked upon in the worst light...just made fun of out of ignornace. The OP had the problem of no credibility and a question that just seemed totally out of place.

I don't judge the player, so be it if he/she bought the account. I'm also sorry to see him/her treated so unfairly...though if the assumptions are true, then again so be it.

Established credibility is worth so much more than anyone thinks :(.
So to sum up all we have learned in class today.

1. Ask nicely.

2. If someone questions you answer politely.

3. Don't be put off by others.

4. Accept others might not agree with you.

5. Don't assume the worst.
(Unless you have no other option :p)
6. A nice cheater is still a cheater.
I skipped the last lesson today, so I'll have to copy the notes off you Elrohir :p
you could prolly make it to 61 without knowing how to apply an sa but aquireing a soul bow and a stage 12 crystal without knowing imho is impossible without ebaying
