Me an my wifey play orcs. she is a Raider (lvl 23) and Im a monk (lvl23).
We have done execution grounds with good exp. Tried bee hive, tho it seemed like the exp was too low for the dmg inflicted on us. And have done a few other places.
I'm wondering what might be another good spot for us to hunt.
And as a side note, what color of mobs should we be doing. We like doing deep red mobs, but I dont think it is the most efficient. Should we be doing pink, yellow, white, or reds?
Anyways, thanks in advance for the advice.
P.s. we dont mind spending money on DSS's and heal potions.

It's not about the XP per mob, its the XP per Minute/Hour. Mobs you can kill easy and quickly are better then hard ones that take longer.
Greens and Whites are the best overall. Just move on once the lowest mob in the area turns light blue. Some mobs give better XP/per risk. Archer/Mage/Stun mobs give a bonus in XP, so an area with those (assuming you can handle any aggro) is good. If your killing really fast and the mob respawn isn't keeping up with you, then you may want to move up a bit. I think you'll find though, that the higher level you go, the 'greener' the mobs will be and still be in your XP/comfort zone. Until you hit L30ish, an area where the highest mobs are only yellow will be fine if you have good equip. After 30 you'll want to start sticking to white mobs, and by 40 green is A-OK all the time. (Light blue will still suck though.)
I have no clue how the XP is in the new C5 areas yet, but from L30-L37~ish the Golems in Execution grounds gave me the best XP I could find anywhere.
Partisan Hideway...or whatever they call it now...is probably a good place to try out. Cruma swamps are a pain, and probably not so good for you, catacombs kinda suck without a healer or a buffbot, but the ant nest might be a good place for your duo.
I'd try those before heading over to the Schuttgart area. (Crypts of Disgrace area)
And as a side note, what color of mobs should we be doing. We like doing deep red mobs, but I dont think it is the most efficient. Should we be doing pink, yellow, white, or reds?
By all means, you should be doing green multi-HP mobs in the necropolis of Sacrifice - as in, stay in the first type of room there until things start turning light blue, then move deeper in.
Multi-HP mobs are good because you don't have to run between them to get experience.
Otherwisely, you could try the new areas around Schuttgart for good experience per kill, but the running between mobs takes a while.
I'd stick to NoS, execution grounds or even to the hills near Dion with the eyes, dire wolves and bugbears. Go for white/green mobs since those go down easy and even if they give a little less xp than red/yellow mobs, you will kill more of them in the same time and can even possibly go totally without rest. So the exp over time will be much greater. If you want to optimize your lvling speed, check out a few different areas. Exp in them for 1 hour and see which one of them gave you best overall exp and then stick to it untill mobs turn light blue. And if you want to make some dough while exping, try manoring :) or pick up a newbie BH and hunt xhp mobs since with a trio of melees they go down _fast_ and they have nice spoils/give multiple fruits(atleast did in C4, havent bothered with it yet in C5)
And, best of all, you will be making a BH friend who will help you acquire recipes and rare materials in the future. Give them exp and parties and some day they will pay it back with other services. Same goes for warsmiths, unless you want to buy all the equipment you will need during the lifespan of your toons.
Dion area and Orcland are both good spots for low-mid 20s. In Orcland, you just have to move on out to Southern Immortal Plateau, Cave of Trials, and beyond. In the 30s, EG and Wasteland are great places. There are sites that list mob by lvl and location. Stratics and Warcry are 2 resource sites for information that is not on this server.
If you're short on SP, there's a nice repeatable quest in Gludio involving killing the Maille Lizardmen and their pets (all 1/2 HP), starting at level 25 (talk to Guard Praga, "The Lizardmen's Conspiracy"). You get 42000 SP each time. :) You might have to do the "Red-Eyed Invaders" quest from Guard Babenco first, I'm not sure. In any case, the latter gains you some fishing equipment, so it's a good deal if you want to go fishin'. :)
From the first town (Gludin? Can never remember that town name!) teleport to the southen wastelands enterance. Then head south east about a min and kill the Ol Mahum Shooters.
When they are to easy, you head noth west to the Ol Mahum leaders and Lesser tyrants.
Your looking at Good xp and easy mobs so your mobs/min is good.
I think that is the best place to lvl. Its good xp and you can teleport straight there! Its not into the mud bit(wasteland), but on the grass hills around it.
I just wanted to lvl up quick so that was my place up to Level40 i believe. lol. But i was solo, without a pocket buffer/healer..
So it goes..
Ol MuhumCheckpoint > 40
Sea of Spores/Plains of Lizardman > 45
Ali Island > 49/50
Cemetary
"It's not about the XP per mob, its the XP per Minute/Hour. Mobs you can kill easy and quickly are better then hard ones that take longer."
I totally disagree, as it depends on the class of the character played and the area you are trying to level in.
I have taken a orc raider to an area and leveled 3 times in one day from 26 to 29. then the next day three more levels 29 to 32 and it was not on green nor white mobs.
If your talking a mystic, yes that would be approperate I guess but with heavy damage dealers, no. There are areas ingame that dark red or pink mobs would give a better xp bang for the buck (adena) and I believe that is the question that the poster is asking, Where.
And in his statement, the player stated that there are two of them leveling not just one. that also changes EVERYTHING.
My note to the original poster is what server are you playing?

Irrelevant and in no way invalidates what I just said.
How fast you want to level is largely a matter of how much you want to spend, what class you are, what kind of support you have (party/buffs) and where in the 'Leveling Curve' you are.
Pre-40 is a where most of the 'slope' is when you compare your equipment to the mobs and how much XP they give. (Which is why 2x and 4x mobs are better than 1x hp Higher level mobs.)
So a top D weapon may have twice the patk as top NG, but Top C is only 50% better than top D. (And top A isn't much more than ~20% better than top B) In the same manner, mob XP rises pretty steeply through D grade also. But starts to level out heavily as you reach C grade. Past that you have a couple of spots where mob XP jumps a bit, but those spots are fairly well placed around your next grade levels.
Back to our Orc duo however. If you have 1K xp 1xHP mobs (White), 2K xp 2xHP mobs (Green) and 1.5K xp 1xHP (Red) mobs, the Green mobs will usually net you the fastest XP as you can usually kill those as fast as the Red mobs, and mob density/respawn is better than the white 1xHP mobs.
As for your 3 levels a day on non-Green/White mobs? What of it? I can do those 6 levels in ONE day on green mobs. Just by picking the right mobs AND I can do so using less SS and Pots.
We mostly just wanted a lot of options, as to not get burnt out on one spot.
btw i heard soemthing about an acc4ess type quest for NoS. What do I/we have to do to get in?
To enter NoS or any other Catacomb/Necropolis all you have to do is sign up at the Dawn/Dusk Priest(ess) during a 'Quest Event period'. The following week depending on which side won, (almost always the same side every other week on each server) the winner can continue to enter the Cat/Nec and gets a minor buff from the NPC mob in town. The losing side gets some stupidly nasty debuffs from the other NPC mobs in town and cannot enter the cat/nec areas until the following week when they can sign up again.
Listen to painamplifier!
Particularly as an orc you can kill darn near anything not dark red to you.
The question is "should you"?
The answer is: "depend how poor you want to be"!
Your orc-wife won't heal you much meaning you're going to spam both shots and heals to take red mobs.
You can literally grind up greens/whites (hence the term 'grind') and even some quick hit yellows more efficiently, GENERALLY, than you can pinks/reds.
If you want to get to lvl 40 broke, kill anything your little heart desires.
If you want to get to lvl 30 with a few adena rattling around in your pocket do greens/whites.
In this evolution of L2 a significant part of each server just buys adena outside of game so cost isnt an issue. If those players want 10 million for an OE weapon they just buy the adena and once they get it they purchase the weapon.
Pretty sucky way to play imo. Many of the higher players (those who don't cheat) ground (grinded?) up green and with an orc, white mobs to use less pots and shots and have less down time. There is no adena drop penalty for greens which is why they pay 'relatively well'.
Listen to painamplifier. Good advice for anyone and everyone starting.
Fair quest in Gludin for abandoned camp (ol mahums) and I think there are 2 good quests for orc barracks.
Generally in catas/necropolis' you will get 'seal stones' rather than adena or better drops. Generally. It's my impression after putting about 10 toons through level 20 in the past 8 months that NOS is good for quick exp but not so good for adena. Just my feeling so far.
The advice others gave about area around Dion is good too--bugbears, etc. are fair exp and drop some gold, too.
Execution grounds if you're really in low 20's is probably too high for you to be efficient.
You want to kill 100 mobs in 20 minutes that give you 1800 exp rather than 20 mobs in 20 minutes that give you 3000 exp.!
Ideally, it would be best financially if you could kill the 100 mobs without soulshots and without spamming heal potions, potions of alacrity, and haste potions!
Good luck!
NC loves to rename/retranslate stuff constantly...so Partisan Hideway was renamed "Fortress of Resistence" for C5.
It's east of Cruma/Dion and north of Execution Grounds. It is populated by various 'Ol Mahum' type mobs. And FYI the 'Tarkin' ones are groupish mobs, but not really pole type mobs. They are more like the Lageos/Pageos pairs near Heine. (If two dwarves can handle em' two Orcs should have no problem at all.)
If you want to have some fun, make Schuttgart your home. New quests that pay out well, new mobs, whole new areas. Super sweet.
Right now I'm 25 hanging out in the Crypts of Disgrace. There are two quests there, one to kill the grave robbers and one to kill the ghosts. The quest to kill the ghosts is a little easier, and the mobs are a little lower, so I would start there.
I must admit I forced myself to move the Schuttgart as I just couldn't face the same mobs and the same quests I've been doing for 2 years on numerous alts. Time for something new! This probably isn't a big deal if you're a new player, but the new areas are very cool.
Oh, and I don't know what you're swinging, but all of the mobs around the Crypts of Disgrace are weak to blunt and spear weapons. Very nice indeed.
