First off i know there are other posts about this but i never can seem to find why NCsoft cant change it. I really wanna know why they cant just put out a patch or a longer zoom capability file that complies with the NCsoft agreement. I know there are files out there that you can download to change the way just about everything in-game looks like but most if not all are illegal and are concidered some sort of third-party program/software. Im just wondering if its so easy for people that are not part of NCsoft to make this software/program to change zoom why doesnt NCsoft change it?

NCSoft doesn't want to allow it for that reason, but let's be honest, almost every major PvPing clan on Lionna uses it. We got creamed at a siege because the WhiteOrder was using it against us. They could shoot us and we couldn't shoot them.
Level the playing field NCSoft, give everyone the same zoom since you won't take action against the zoomhackers.
For pvp in general.. Sucks to have an archer running around shooting at you, and, with the 150-200 ping that I have now, click him to try to get one nuke out before he kills me..
You don't need it to shoot through walls in sieges.. /target FTW..
So how did they come across the names of 2 boxes? Of alts rarely used? Of names its unlikely they'd seen before from alliances they rarely interact with? And do tell, how did they /target those toons immediately when they came into range? Did they have macro for each of the dozens of toons we had there? Please. But this isn't the point.
Much of Chaos, Invincible, and Mirage uses Zoomhack. All of the ones I personally know do. NCSoft is handicapping honest people, they should just give everyone the capability.
No offense to any of you because you all have very good points surrounding this issue but i would much rather hear it from someone that is affiliated with NCsoft. I mean after all i wouldnt wanna through all my characters away just because i could zoom further then someone else. which incase kinda sounds a little unfair but if its legal then let the Admin or Moderators or affiliates of NCsoft speak of it here. :)
on one of the blocked forums someone said that zoom **** isnt really cheating after all they said, nc made a skill like cdl and if you dont use zoom **** you die alot

If the interface is moddable, wouldn't that make bots allowable? That's problematic to implement. Giving everyone the zoom that most PvPers are using anyway simply levels the playing field. NCSoft doesn't ban people that use it (even if they say its illegal), so why not go the full distance and simply include it in the client, eh?
As for whoever was asking for a statement from the admins/mods about whether its allowable, this is copied from the code of conduct:
You may not modify any part of the Lineage II Client, Server, or any part of the official Lineage II website.
You have to modify the client to enable zoomhack, ergo, its illegal.
I never asked if it was allowable i asked why it wasnt allowable and why they dont immplement it? and secondly i dont know what you think of as botting when i say make the interface modable all im talking about is being able to make zoom longer if wanted and being able to change colors of damage given and taken from mobs and how the hotbar looks none of that stuff in any way says anthing that would help out botters or be considered a bot.
imo, there is a zoom bug when running at wide screen resolutions or at extremely HIGH resolutions in which the zoom feature really shows off it's limitations. Why? Because you can zoom as far as it'll let you and then suddenly you hit a wall just short of your own toons *butt*
