im pretty sure green mobs drop at a lower rate
regardless of what nc says, if you hunt the same mobs for a week straight then they turn green its pretty easy to notice the difference
nc also says the lvl of you servitor doesnt effect drop rate but i done trials on that and i know its not true (lvl 72 ws with lvl 74 golem hunting lvl 69 mobs)
1)Does a yellow mob drop items at a higher chance than a white?
2) Does a green mob drop items at a lower chance than a white?
Ty
Red Mobs) No drop change.
Pink Mobs) No drop change.
Yellow Mobs) No drop change.
White Mobs) No drop change.
Green Mobs) No drop change.
Light Blue Mobs) Moderately reduced Drop chances. (Per level of blue)
Deep Blue Mobs) Severely reduced Drop chances.
Waaaaay back in prelude/C1 Light blue used to be as good as white. Then in C2 they reduced the drops from greens and light blues. And when C3 hit they bumped the greens back up to no drop reduction...so far holding steady at that point.

I hate to do this...but injore his comments!
there is a lower chance on drops for greens and light blues.
best drops and xp will come from yellows and whites.. green are a fair mob for meely, cause they do a lil less dmg...but drops are less.
back before C3 they had a penilty on greens and below that lowered the drop rate and XP...it was like killing a light blue. now it's a lil better then before.

Why should we believe you more than him? without proof his opinion is as valid as urs :p
I personally don't think there's a difference between green mobs and whites... if there is, it's a very small difference and definitely doesn't affect money drops.

NCsoft mite of lefted the penalty on the XP and drops..but I a sure you that from my experance from massive hunting and playing sence C1...
I know that that the drops, money, and XP is alot lower then if you stayed on whites/yellows the whole time.( you lose sometimes 600XP or more on greens, and usely more money then that)
Even tho they tend to be easier to kill; the drops, money, and XP is lower.
Experience for a mob is exactly the same, no matter whether it's green or white to the person receiving. I'm fairly certain of this, but I'll be glad to test it later. o.O;

Nolerahl, you really gotta learn to use better wording - its just makes you look less and less credible...
Instead of using "I know", use something like "I think", "I believe", "I'm almost 100% certain". Saying "I know" just makes you look like a know-it-all and makes you look even worse when you make mistakes.
On to the topic: When hunting the same mob - even if it turns from white to green when you level - you get the same ammount of experience as Maline said. This I am almost 100% of - but I will check it when I level in a couple of days. ;)
As for drops, I say hunt green mobs because that means faster kills most of the time and hence more opportunties for drops.

I don't meen to come off a know it all..I know alot but I'm not a
"know it all".
tho Let me clearify.
as a mage(necromancer), when I lvled in FoTD at lvl 69 the mobs there where light blue to pink.
I'm most certian that while I lvled on the mobs there that I could most certainly see the difference between white and green. with XP, and adena...A lil less so on drops...but I'm certain that is was less...been a while since I've lvled there with a toon thats green on them mobs.
now that I play a HE..and that I've tested a BD I've seen the difference on the color of mobs and drops..I'm quite sure it's lower then you'd like to beleave.

But that's not quite what they're talking about here hun. They're talking about xp penalties, and they way to make that comparison would be to kill a white mob.. then level.. then kill the same mob that is now green. It will give the same XP number (the percentage you get will be reduced, of course.)
But I do agree that in a same area, white mobs will give more exp then green mobs. That's a given.
Droprate is very difficult to compare between white/green mobs because you need to compare over thousands of mobs to get any significant result. Some sites register drop rates, I've always thought that they included both green and white mobs but I could be wrong.
On a side note, at levels 72-73 I was getting better drops in FoD then now. After changing mobs at 74 I only seem to be getting silver nuggets  A friend of mine gets less exp in Blazin Swamp but his drops are much better (some ori ore  ). Although we are talking about droprates - it brings up the point that if someone cares more about money than exp, they are better to choose their hunting spot accordingly :o
I will be payin closer attention to droprate from now on though - when I sub melee itll be easier to compare white vs. green.
No word is lost about drop penalties in either direction.
The two go hand in hand. The C3 notes translated by Hellrose (Or was that Lineagecenter?) noted that drops were not (no longer) penalized also when fighting greens.
And NC's track record on 'explaining' things isn't the greatest either. If you look for the notes on Raid Boss drops vs/level they explicity state the penalty in those. Where once the RB (mob) is no longer green drops are penalized.
And I've ground out enough mobs since prelude to verify this. Hell, at one time I even tracked my drops/XP in a fscking spreadsheet to determine the best xp/adena ratio! (And let me tell you yellows and reds don't appear in that as 'good things'!)
