Mistrly said the servers are up for c5. I spam the login server it lets me in im the 2nd whole person on the server. I log out right next to rune auctioneer. I login bid the maxium bid of 2 billion adena (wont let you bid 1 adena more i tried) and enter the bid and confirm. 12:45 pm est Sept 6th bid is in.
About an hour or so later another clan bids the max im guessing mirmodonas and is listed 2nd in the list for traban clan hall in rune.
Servers go down today for maintence. Servers come back up and one of my clannies looks at the bids now we are listed as 2nd clan to bid on the list.
According to the GM i talked to the clan listed first is the clan with the oldest/highest bid. How do i have the highest oldest bid (max bid) and it changes because of server downtime?
This is a game breaker i just noticed this now. ME and my clan have been saving up for 6 months to get the 2 billion adena for a rune clan hall after we lost our bid on a giran clan hall. The only way we could lose this clan hall is to a bug and this a game ending bug because we were the first bid and we deserve it.
Unfornately the GM i talked to said they cannot freeze the auction to investigate and if it the auction ends before it is resolved there is nothing that can be done. So i plead with NCSoft or any head gm that sees this please fix the problem before its too late there is 16 hours left the time is running out :(
It would be useful if they confirmed that identical top bids randomly get the hall, as opposed to who is "first" with the top bid. All a clan need to if the "first" rule applied is bid the max one second after the hall is on the market. It should be a random draw among the high bidders on a tie.
They confirmed and i have the screenshot that the first person to bid is the tiebreaker its not random. If you bid the maxium first there is no way it can be beat.
Well I can tell you one thing for sure. If we loose this clan hall because of a stupid glitch on server reset. Specially after letting NcSoft know about it. I'm done I will cancel my subscription tonight. Of course I know as a single player NcSoft could care less. But that would just be the icing on the cake for a long list of crap that has been driving me crasy about this game.
My clan is having the same issue on Lionna. For *sure* we bid first. In fact, the person who bid behind us actually *withdrew* his bid before the current 'leader' even bid in the first place.
But right now someone else is listed ahead of us. Who was *not* the first bidder. *WE* were.
We worked HARD to get the adena for this CH, it would drive me crazy if a BUG made us lose it!!! :(
Which CH did you guys bid on? We bid on Roien (and I'm sure that's spelled wrong).
if u bid first, ur first. the list that u see doesnt bump u down the 2nd bidder but just the 2nd on the list. the list doesnt decent from ur name like it should, but it starts from top of ur name. so:
bid info
-your name
bid info
-other name
-your name
you should still be 1st even tho ur 2nd on the list. IGNORE THE LIST.
problem is that it has changed the order for all of us only after the server reset and gm said clan listed first on the is the clan that gets the hall.
So still waiting for a higher tier gm and i know HGMSpam Draven Pommono etc wont be into morning that only gives them 4 hours or less to correct the problem :(
Yeah, im aranyas clan leader, we were the only bidder for about an hour and a half (after teh other guy pulled) been at the top of the list all week, till i log in tonight and see otherwise. If we loose our hall over this, i dont know if i can stay here...
I wouldn't quit... 2B is a lot of adena for gear for your clan. I kinda wish we didn't have a clan hall just because you can farm a lot of points every other week with the siegeable ones... then again clan halls are nice, and it is nice to be secure in haveing it...
This is pretty upsetting news for me, If my clan doesnt get this place we have been wroking towards so long I will be upset. In fact if this really is a bug i will quit my clan and take my sh on a tour of newbie villages repeatedly slaughtering any who try to leave in a fruitless attempt to get revenge on the cruel, cruel world.
nope great support ncsoft you only have 200 - 300 accounts hanging in the balance of this bug no rush i guess $3000 - 4000 dollars a month isnt a big deal to ncsoft.
They said they get back to me by mail that was 11 hours ago. Support can be any worse? lol Can you maybe realize something that has be resolved in 16 hours should be on the top of your list.
at the start of PTS and the servers went down daily we tried to get a CH from a friend in a 24h auction, 3 hours before end servers went down for 10+ hours .. we lost it, NC dont care... petitions dont helped :(
How the hell has no one seriously addressed this yet? It's probably nothing to worry about, but its important, Mistryl did they change something with the text yesterday or do we all need to spam you and the support staff all day? I'm not just a curious party, were in the same boat, i just havnt had a chance to look at the bid screen so i have no idea whats going on with it atm.

the in game gm's wont escalate me to hgm they tell me to wait via email and i have been waiting for over 13 hours and not one email from ncsoft now it has to be handle in game there isnt time to wait for an email back and forth.

I can't help in the slightest however I am rooting for you both to achieve your chosen CH. If you don't because of a glitch that is really poor customer care by NC. Fingers crossed guys, I hope it goes well :eek:

My CL did petition it last night. The first GM he spoke to referred him to another GM, however I went to bed before I heard the results of that consultation. And no one is on to talk about it now.
However, the glitch still remains on the Auctioneer. :(
not just 2 clans its 4 clans last i checked on 4 servers erica gustin liona and devianne.
so thats at least 160 accounts being affected by this if not more.
over 14 hours and no one has responded to my gm petitions hgmspam and mistryl havent logged onto to the boards at all to check their messages yet either.
There is only 1 hour and 45 minutes left this is getting to be in crisis mode.
Ps he probably got the same responses i did they waiting on a upper tier gm to look at it and there 4 draven silver pomono and spam.
I'm hoping for the best for both of you. I just hope someone took screenshots just after your bid, so you can show you were first. It SHOULD be that the logs can give the time and amount of bids... but having a screenshot would be good backup.

they already have a clan hall in giran and they use 2 alt clans to bid on clan halls in rune one has 2 members the other has 3 .... i really think that need to change you need a minium amount of members to bid on a clan hall like 20 - 25 because these 1 - 2 member clans bidding on clans halls are bull they dont deserve a clan hall.

you need to not have everyone petition. that only makes the process longer and it ****** them off
have the clan leader petition a good summary of the situation.
sandron i am the only one petitioning and they still keep saying they are waiting for someone to look into it. This will be third time i got screwed by ncsoft.
First was one i dropped gear when i got pked by a red in c1 then i was banned for 2 weeks (by mistake) in c3 now this.
btw im still waiting on a quest refund from c1 they are still investigating last i checked lol
this a bug that happened less then 24 hours ago most of the clan leader petition 16 - 18 hours ago no one has responded to any of the leaders being screwed here that is a serious problem.
I feel the issue is where they read it and know about it, but need to talk the issue over first. Then when they have come up with something, and only then do they post.

Its not so hard pull the logs from weds on the clan hall bids pull the logs for tuesday make the changes and done it take an hour tops but we dont even have an hour left.
The smart solution would be to postpone the auction results another 2, 12, whatever amount of hours it takes to look into the matter. As it is now while I do not think it would be fair for a clan to be told they won the auction just to have it removed from them whenever a decision is finally made. Just my 2 cents.

All of this only because of how much love people have for this game. I feel us players and the NC staff need to have a better understanding of each other....
it would have been nice to get a bit quicker of a response, but it was over night, shorter staff hours etc. Just happy to have re-assurance, its just a game, but we spend a hell of a lot of time here lol

When we had the issue for an Aden CH. It ook about 4 days for them to figure out what was wrong and they never did. They froze the auction with an hour to go and randomly reposted the acution within 10 days. We got lucky and won it AGAIN. But I can tell you. The clan that moved ahead of us did in fact win the auction. When they ended it early they had control. They only had it for 5 mins but they had it. So not sure if it is just a display issue

This is largely a result of a lack of trust. NCSoft tells us they're combatting bots aggressively, yet we do not see that happening. Bots reported are frequently seen botting over and over and over for weeks or months. NCSoft tells us they are combatting ebaying, yet characters are purchased and sold and adena is bought and sold regularly. There's a whole industry around it its so widespread. NCSoft tells us there will be character transfers in the future, yet it has been years since that was claimed.
And for me personally, NCSoft banning a friend for cheating when it remains very unlikely she did (which we won't know because NCSoft won't reveal what they're accusing her of) was the final betrayal.
That is why people assume the worst when bugs like this pop up. Because we do not trust NCSoft. And, excepting radical reforms at NCSoft, this state of affairs is likely to continue.
Please be aware that the order of names/bids in the Auctioneer's dialog does not indicate the winning bidder or the first clan that bid while the auction is underway. As Rust mentioned, the text that displays might be misleading, but the clan hall auctions should be working properly.
