Clan Ranks

From the C5 Notes:

New ranks will now be created based on a character’s social status and clan activities.

Ranks will be applied according to a character’s clan status, clan level, and position in the clan.
Players can see their own rank in the character status window.
Players can see the target’s rank in the Target window when another player is selected.
Heroes and Noblesse characters may attain special ranks regardless of clan status.

So here's the question:
Can members raise their rank beyond their base rank for the clan level. ie. a Member of a lvl 5 Clan is a Heir. Is it possible for that person to raise their rank through participation??

It does say Clan Activities up there.

Is this what the Raid Points each player earns are used for?
Can't help you with Raid Points, but clan rank increases one of two ways- either help your clan level through rep points and get something other than the neat little 'Heir' (which I think is awesome) or get an individual rank off your leader.

Major favoritism, but that's how it goes. Ranks go from 1-5, or vice-versa (never been clear on that, 2 alts are in different clans where they work in opposite ways), other than the standard 'Main Clan Rank', and when you level up, 'Royal Guard' or 'Knight Unit' or whatever they are.

Your clan leader will, if he has explored the clan screen properly, give you 1-5 if you clearly help out / piss people off, I'll leave that for you to interpret. The button is right there next to 'Change Title', above the apprentice bit.

You can see your own rank in the same part of the Member Info window.

But imo, worry about the clan's level before your own.

Thoes rank 1-5 have nothing to do with it, all that have to do with is that in C5 thers only 5 Different possibilities for different setup of what the clan members can do.

And eg the clan leader can set lv 1 to be do everything and 5 to do nothing, and the oposit, then the clan leader just set each user to them to aka decide what they can do.
How does a member's rights within a clan have nothing to do with it, out of interest?

Please don't correct me unless you actually... well, correct me.

A member *can* raise rank through participation in one of the two ways aforementioned, which was the OP's question. Individual ranks intend rights for a clan member, which is something achieveable through participation in the clan activites. Impress the leader = higher rank. To change the little 'Heir' title, the whole clan must level.

Please explain how I am wrong, for the benefit of myself, and the OP.
you are not, just didn't make it clear that there are two "ranks", the title one (Heir, Knight, Elder, etc) and the lvl1-5 rank that can be seen only be seen through the clan member info window which assigns permissions.

PleChan also added some information as to why you might have a low number but high permissions in a clan or viceversa.

The OP was actually reffering the title "rank", but you make a valid point in that it seems that the only "rank" you can raise through clan activities is the ones that gives you permission to clan functions. The other one only changes when the clan levels and which unit you are in.
The title one is the one I was referring too, because that is the important one when it comes to the clan skills.

Have a good look at the clan skills and you'll see the reason for my concern.
yeah that sucks if you have to be a clan/unit leader when the clan is lvl 8 for the mp regen skill to affect you.

Clan Clarity

8

Increases clan members' MP regeneration. It only effects those who are of a Viscount class or higher

It makes it kind of tough to justify spending all those Rep points for a skill that affects 3 people. I'm a dwarf, what do I care about clarity. lol
Beg pardon, didn't realise lol.

I'm obscure at times when stuff passes between my brain and paper, or in this case a PC screen.

Of everyone I think I need a little clarity :P
level 8 clan gogo.
