Oh of course we have seen all the nice armor, and with the +6 now we will see glowing armors.
Also the arguments about headgear.
But you never show the jewels. I know they are M. Def. and Magic is not to be discussed. But hey ! Jewels are the first thing Wizards remark on each other.
It's a good point, though. You can tell about a toons pDef (mostly, anyway, without seeing the helmet) by looking at their armor. You can tell a lot about a toons pAtk/mAtk by looking at their weapon. On the other hand, you have no idea what the mDef is without viewing their jewelry; which should be visible.

I like the idea. In the same way a melee can judge another melee. Nukers should be able to do the same. But maybe only ear rings show on female characters. Rings and necklaces i have no problem being on male characters. Just ear rings... on guys.
Nothings wrong with ear rings on guys, I dont want my chars to wear them.
I dont want to see these huge and chunky rings waving around, they are too "girly"(I use this term in the lightest possible way) for a hardened warrior. But studs would be ok, I could live with that. They arent as expansive. But there arent any studs in the game.

Do you want to see my buffs, too?
If you can see everything you need to about melee characters, so why not have the same for mages? :P
For Melee his important stats are P.Def and P.Atk, which can be acurately judged by armour and weapons.
For a Nuker their important stats are M.Atk and M.Def, you can see M.Atk by their weapon, but there is no way to see a characters rough M.Def.

You've forgot archers. Bless Shield/Advanced Block, Resist Shock... don't you want to see them?
And even then:
Mental Shield... don't you want to see it?
Elemental resistance buffs?
Prophecies?
Holy Weapon?
and so on, and so forth...

Nope. Didn't say anything about buffs. I want to see what should be viewable so that I can make determinations about your toon in combat. I will always assume my opponent has full buffs. Don't most make assumptions about toons based on their armor and weapons? Why can't we do the same for jewelry?

Then just assume that they have the best for their grade.

Jewelry are equipment, just like armour and weapons. Buffs are not. Is that such a hard concept to grasp?

Yes, it is. Do you want to see my inventory then? :D
There are two main reasons why I don't want jewels to be shown:
1. Purely aesthetical, as also in case of helmets. By the way, how would you expect to see the earrings then the helmets are shown? Why would expect anyone to wear rings over (not under) theit gloves? Why wouldn't, say, a tank put a necklace under the breasplate - or do they want it to be teared apart after the first pull?

Okay, this is actually valid. Good point and I changed my mind.
i dont need to load 5 more objects FOR EVERY SINGLE PLAYER I SEE just so i can run up to them and use creative camera turning just to see what jewels they actually are :p
